Ok, for NOS or ZEX or whomever to make the claim "40 horsepower setup" or whatever, at what PSI is the nitrous coming out of the solenoid/nozzle to make the horsepower claim?

For example, if I was running a 40 HP setup, and I measured the PSI coming out of the nozzle, what would it read? What about for a different HP setting?

Thanks in advance
steve.

Optimal operating pressure is between 900-1100psi

The pressure is the same w/ all the jets. Just a matter of what volume of nitrous can pass through the orifice at that pressure. A 50shot at 600psi is a far cry from a 50shot at 1100psi :D

so it's the nozzle that determines the "HP shot" or HP rating? So, does anyone know the size (diameter) of the nozzle used for any certain HP rating?
EDIT: Also, are they available at hardware stores, or can you get them only from NOS or ZEX, etc..??
Thanks for the info Jon3k! I'm learning more as I ask...

There are different 'jets'/nozzles for different HP applications. IE 40 hp, 50, 100 etc. Just call the company you want to buy from and find out the optimal jetting from them.

In the case of my setup, a NX single fogger...
The fuel solenoid and nitrous solenoid are both run into the single fogger nozzle. where these hoses attach you insert a small "jet". A jet is just a tiny little piece of metal with a hole drilled in it. the size of this hole determines how much nitrous or fuel can get through. NX properly sizes them so they can be paired up (one for fuel, one for n2o) and inserted to produce a certain amount of power with a proper air/fuel ratio. don't know if that makes any sense, maybe it'll help :)

Yea it does make sense! I went onto the NX (nitrousexpress.com) website and saw thier jets and their nozzles.
