Has anyone taken their NX to a shop(midas, meineke, CarX, etc) to get the exhaust replaced? I need mine replaced from the flexypipe thingy back, and was wondering how much I'm gonna get hit for.

Thanx

ive neve rhad my whole exhaust replaced but i did have some gaskets and the resonator replaced at meinekee and it ran me 112 so im thinkin like around 300 for what you want done, but thats just a guesstimation, why wouldnt you just go after market?

if you get a new muffler, cat and thrush from summit and two mandrel bends you can get all that for around 225 then a shop will tack it in for you for around 100-125. It should be fairly easy for them. I just had mine done (check the signature) for 310 total and it sounds great, that includes the 3.5" dual wall stainless tip I ordered from summit as well. It is the best sounding exhaust and best performing I have had. beats greddy and stromung but isn't as high quality stainless as strumungs expensive setup. Mine i aluminized piping with polished stainless muffler and tip which are 304 stainless.

i assume stock cat which is the best way to go from what I have read, but what muffler and resonator is int hat setup for only 250 installed? That seems low. but if you used a flowmaster or some other 50 dollar muffler then that could very well be the price. How does it sound? If you like it that is what counts.

I just installed a pacesetter exhaust last night:
Pacsetter exhaust: $75 used
My time: Um..free
Compressed air and power tools: Priceless...

I cut the B-pipe down about 5 3/4" at the back right past the suspension..and I cut 3/4" off the mufler itself, since its a mufler clamp joint right there...I'll post pix if someone will host my pictures.

I had from the cat-back replaced with 2.25" piping, and a new tip for $230 Canadian. No muffler, I had it removed :) Nice and loud!

I got a full 2.5" exhaust on my NX, crush bent, with aluminized piping, a new resonator, and a magnaflow muffler w/ a perforated core. The total cost was $355. Oh yeah, they replaced the flex pipe too.

That's it, I'm making a small video clip of the sound. Performance is good, but I haven't dyno'd since last time. I'll post my vid later.
