Wow, didn't notice the dual exhaust. Now I think I know the origins of this car. I believe the engine origially came from a '91/'92 B13 (hence the low port design) which was boosted by JD a long time ago. The engine was eventually transplanted into a white B14 with dual exhausts which I believe is this car. All owners were members of SERCA at one point or another. Original B13 that got boosted was slate gray and painted SI blue then repainted light gray when ownership changed. B14's owner was cousin of the gray repainted B13s owner. Don't know what happened after that. The B14 when I saw it and that was before the transplant. Of course I could be totally wrong and I'm not naming names.

wow..props on the info :biggthump although i think it's a highport engine. if it is as you said and it came out of a 91-92 then it would be a highport. that and the pictures looks like the manifold in my 91 :)
anyway, is it still for sale? i pmed my number and i still haven't gotten a call back ;)

Lazyieg you are correct. It is a highport like mine as well. I seem to always get that mixed up.
That engine is the second SR20 that JD boosted. Not sure what happened to the original GTi-R SR20DET that he had in his Orange Crush. The ECU may also not be OEM or JWT, as JD had been using AuTech ECUs at the time.
