I'm not sure what the lights are exactly called but they are the lights that are on the front and rear of the bumpers. The fronts are orange and the rears are red. (bumper lights?) Well anyway I want these to blink when I have my turn signal on. How do I wire this and do I need to change the bulb to a dual filament one? I also want these to stay on like they normally did but also blink. Any help would be great fellas. THX

there are already side markers and corner lights blinking, why do you want even more? just splice into the side markers if you really want to do it but it seems a little crazy to me.

I dont know what you mean by side markers. The only thing that blinks on my car is the corner lights. what about the bulbs?

You know what, i think the side markers may not blink. ha! Anyway, you can either tap into the wires that feed the corner bulbs then or you can run fresh wire from them all the way back to the switch that runs the turn signals.

The easiest way I can think of to do this would be to add a normally closed relay between the corner light main wire, and run a tap off of the regular blinker wire to the relays coil. That way, when the main blinker is on, it'll turn off your corner lights. Then when it goes off, the lights will come back on. This'll let you use your running lights like normal, but have them blink in alternate with the main blinkers. Same could be done for the rear, and you wouldn't have to mess around under your dash.

Only problem with this is your corners wouldn't blink unless your running lights were on. But, that'd be easy to get around as well. Unless you're familiar with some basic electronics, you might want to have someone else do this as its probably not written/documented anywhere.

Luminous is on the right track. I figured you could wire off the corners. My friend is building a street rod (48 ford) and he just ran extra wires from the turn signal switch to the light he added to the car above and behind the front wheel wells. I fugured you could do that on our cars also.
