I got my car back together last night after a clutch job, new axle, and 2 new seals. I tried to start it and the engine just turned over and over. I've checked to see if something got unplugged that wasn't supposed to be. Everything I had to unhook to do the work is connected. The fuel pump is pumping, and I have spark at all plugs.
Any ideas?

If you (for some reason) removed the fuel lines, check to make sure they're not reversed. (Don't ask)

Coil connector on the *bottom* of the coil?

Coil wire from distributor?

O2 sensor connector?

Gas cap is tight so the lines can pressurize?

Just talking out of my a$$ here? :D

I just had the wierdest thing happen to my NX tonight... in the whole time I've owned it its never flooded, but somehow some reason tonight it did... wouldn't start period... This was after sitting a week.

anyways relating to you:
Have you tried the pull the fuel pump fuse, crank it for a while with the pedal to the floor, then replace the fuse and crank it with gas pedal floored, maybe it just happened to flood?

did you:

Switch the Coil wire and the Tranny Reverse Switch

Swtich the Igniter wire and the O2 sensor

Most likely

did you remeber to:

re-ground the battery to the Chasi and then to the engine

re-ground the tranny

plug in the starter solenoid wire to the starter

bolt the main power wire up to the starter

Do you have an aftermarket Alarm ???>

I figured it out!

It was a fuel problem.
I had the car up on jackstands for 4 days, all the gas drained to the back of the tank, even out of the fuel pump housing. I just filled it up to 3/4 of a tank and purged all the air out of the lines.
It started on the second try. :D

Thanks for the ideas!
