Sorry for the lame-o question, but do all RR motors (USDM) have EGR?

Thanks,

I was wondering for the same thing, and how do you tell if you have a RR motor?

The cam covers are higher and more squared. Also, I believe they're the only ones (other than VEs) that don't have a black oil separator can on the engine just forward of the distributor. The hose goes directly from the cam cover to the front of the block.

Yes, all the USDM ones do, I don't know about JDM ones though. What are you building Scott?

PS. I still love my shig setup :biggthump

Glad you're still happy with the suspension!

I've got a VE 90% built, and was wondering if I could actually make it "legit" smogwise by spoofing a 2002 RR motor, but it looks as if I'd have to cobble EGR on it somehow...

Maybe a "Winchester Mystery Tube" from the USDM exhaust to somewhere under the IM would pass visual? :^)

AIV is no problem ***.

The only engines that won't have an EGR in the U.S. are those with variable valve or cam timing on the exhaust side. JDM engines don't have EGR either because they don't have to worry about emissions. The only USDM engines I know of that won't have EGR are BMW engines. There could be more, but I don't know of them, nor can I recall.
