Do you know anyone who's sold their SE-R for more than $7,500.00?

Here's my dilemna. My little '96 black 200SX SE-R was totaled 2 weeks ago (not my fault), and the insurance company offered me an amount that I feel is below what I need to replace the vehicle. They are willing to adjust the figure if I can show them a couple of SALES prices (not asking price) reflecting a higher amount than what they've offered. Of course it should be a comparable vehicle ('95-'97). Mine had 66,000 miles, 5 speed, cassette, all other options including power moonroof, keyless entry, cc, foglights, fancy tires.

What would help? A brief typed statement of car description, year, miles and selling price and date on letterhead (personal or business is fine). It must have sold for more than $7,500 to for it to help my situation.

I loved my car and am sad enough to have to get another vehicle. Please email me if you have any questions. I'm offering $20.00 to the first two people who send documents of their SE-R sales of $7,500 or more, as per above. Please, legit only. My guess is they'll call to verify, etc.

Mostly, thanks for taking the time to help out. It's harder than you think to get this info! My local Nissan dealers haven't been of much help as they don't sell lots of SE-Rs as used vehicles...

Thanks again,
Laura

Its too bad we didn't find out about you until after your car was dead. I was the person who emailed you last night about this. $7500 is about the right price. Its a little on the high side, but that benefits you. Good luck with all of it. If you want another black 200SX, I know where to find one.

Yeah good luck with getting what you want out of it. I hope you come back to a SE-R or another SR20DE powered car.

If the car was completely stock, $7500 sounds fair actually. I mean, it's a Sentra after all.

Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear.

Sorry to hear about your SE-R. After doing a quick search, I found a few prices for you. If you car was in excellent condition it would be worth:

Kelly Blue Book (kbb.com)
$7915 used car value
$6300 private party value
$4580 trade-in value

NADA (nada.com)
$7250 avg. retail
$5750 avg. trade-in

If the insurance company is offering you $7500 for your car, I think that's fair. I think for $7500 you could find a good, used ('95-'97) 200SX SE-R comparable to your's. If you have a well known insurance company (ie. Allstate, Prudential, etc.) they usually give you a fair price.

This should help. Good luck.
