: Tuning W/ECU out of Car
RedDragun 07-10-2007, 12:37 AM I want to put a different program on the ECU while it is out of the car. Is this possible? I have it all hooked up but when I click Upload Current Bin to Emulator it says: "Failure: Bin is larger then emulation ram." Then it says I need to use bank 8 or something. What is up?
TPRT does detect the Romulator...
U12BBDreamer06 07-10-2007, 08:58 AM b13 or b14?? maybe loading wrong type??? 32 obd1 and 64 obd2
Cliff 07-10-2007, 10:09 AM I had the same problem. I found out that TPRT was not trying to see the ram as a larger size than it actually is. It's supposed to be 64K.
RedDragun 07-10-2007, 10:57 AM It's a B13. Where do I change it to 32k?
Cliff 07-10-2007, 11:24 AM I have no clue. I gave up on TPRT and just uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled.
Then when you pull the first bin, it'll ask you what size it is, and I just told it 64K for my B14. Obviously you'd tell it 32K for your B13.
RedDragun 07-10-2007, 11:49 AM I tried reinstalling TPRT and it still doesn't work... I was able to send a bin to the ECU once, but now whenever I try to verify the program crashes.
RedDragun 07-10-2007, 12:22 PM I know what the problem is (I think). The B13RT.xdf file is actually the B14 file. If you look at the header for it, it says so. So where is the real B13 XDF?
RedDragun 07-10-2007, 03:14 PM Bump, can someone please send me there working B13 XDF to lazerman at cox dot net!
Cliff 07-10-2007, 04:12 PM http://www.calumsult.com/calumsu/Product%20Manuals/TunerProRT/B13RT.xdf
Is that the one you used?
RedDragun 07-10-2007, 05:29 PM Yep. Click the link. It will take you to a text file and you can even read it yourself. It says it's for a B14.
RedDragun 07-11-2007, 11:52 AM Bump! I'm still having the same problem even with a different XDF (still says it is for a B14 in the header file which is weird).
Cliff 07-11-2007, 02:05 PM That is wierd. I'm sure someone around here has the B13 XDF file
Calum 07-12-2007, 03:46 PM Its the right one. Ignore the B14 bit, I forgot to change that. :)
Follow the quick start guide.
RedDragun 07-12-2007, 05:05 PM Thanks, I'll try it all again.
Did you get the program sent Calum?
I'm gonna call you tonight to bug you until you do!
RedDragun 07-13-2007, 08:37 PM Ok my problem is the drivers. Is there anyway I can uninstall the FTDI drivers and start all over fresh (I plugged the ecu in before installing the FTDI drivers). I think this will solve my problems...
Fastspec2 08-06-2007, 10:34 PM did you ever sort this out? I am haveing the same problem.
RedDragun 08-06-2007, 11:10 PM Well now I just hit the emulate button then hit update on whatever I have open (like k value or something). I still can't get the upload/download full bins to work, I had to use EmUtility.
ronnx 09-10-2007, 04:30 AM has anyone used nissan datascan with their ecu? i have a b13 ecu (93 nx2000) i'm installing a sr20ve neo vvl motor. i'm interested in calum's realtime ecu upgrade. In terms of software, would nissan data scan be a good tool to use?
