I was just wondering if anyone knew a place that sold preassembled bolt on and go type Custom Shortened Konis. As I'd like these but not really sure if im willing to take on the task of making my own. If not I may just go with AGXs, But either way I'm probably going with Ground Control Coilovers and progress front and rear sway bars. Now I just need to figure out the spring rates I desire lol.Thank you all for your information.

Check w/ Steve Foltz on if he would make you a set (98SR20VE) - he "says" he gave it up, but $$ talks. ;)

Spring rate depends on what you will do with the car, and if it is a daily driver. You might want to hold off on the front Progress bar until after you decide on spring rates.

You have a PM. :)

And hell no, it ain't me. Geezus, I would pay someone else to make them for me as well.

He has given up making them a few times. ......

Well the car while it will be a daily driver Stffness isnt a problem for me(long story short ive ridden in quite a few cars with full coilovers set on fully stiff and while its overkill for handleing the ride quality doesnt bother me) But I for sure want to be able to carve up turns here in a few months when I get the gti-r engine:D But there will be occasional trips to the drag strip but mostly just lots of spirited driving but handling is deff one of my main concerns and the shocks and springs and sway bars will deff be installed all at the same time along with the brake upgrades. Since my sentra is a project for now and i have 2 other cars to drive incase something goes wrong or whatever, im just not 100% on spring rates as im sure theres a decent differance in b13s and my ex project honda civic. While I've studied the great suspesion thread we have floating around here somewhere I'm still just a tad indecisive on the rates but thanks.

How heavy a spring rate you decide upon will also affect which exact Koni inserts to use. Some of the Koni's can handle higher spring rates than others.

Steve (98sr20ve) goes over it in detail in this thread:

Where is Veilside180sx, McCoy, Choaderboy2, or Steve? LOL. They can advise you further.

I am merely a well-read student of our suspensions.

Also I'm deeply concered about body roll, while I know that my suspesion on my 91 SE(no R yet) is just stock thus not made for performance it has HORRIBLE body roll which I AM going to get rid of even if i have to just weld metal bars in place of struts lol the level of body roll bothers me that bad but I'm sure it will be greatly decreased with the setup I have in mind. I'm thinking(keep in mind im still researching this part) that i will run a 8 inch 350-400lbs spring up front and 8 inch 325-350 in the back, if this doesnt sound like a good idea to you please dont hesitate to say so within reason, keep in mind COMFORT IS NOT AN ISSUE.

Here is my car at last years Convention:

Not a ton of body roll (and you can tell by my hands that I'm in turn-in), and that is on Hyperco 2's (300 lb front, 200 lb rear), AGX's, and Front & Rear Progress bars.

I have 380 lb front and 350 lb rear ERS springs at home in the garage for my new setup (which is almost ready). Those will be teamed with GC collars and Koni Reds (Maxima front & B14 front for rear) along with Cusco front plates and Shigspeed rear pillow mounts.

As Shawn said, the Koni setup you want will depend on the spring rates you want to run and the spring style (sounds like you are set on GC's).

The "normal" setup of using Spec V inserts seem pretty straight forward to complete if you have some mechanical ability.

Im not totaly set on GCs but the ammount of lowering on springs doesnt really fit what i want so i figured everyone praises the GC and since the height can be adjusted they seem to be the way to go but im always open for suggestions :D

The real benefit of GC's is the ability to change spring rates easily and cheaply. Standard springs for our cars aren't very good other than the Hyperco's and probably the Road Magnets - the rest aren't as good.

With GC's you run a pretty standard spring type, so that opens up the possibility of buying used springs from Honda, S13, etc owners. ;)

Very true...never thought about it like that, but like I said my main reasoning for getting those is i fear that the springs are going to be too low. I don't like my cars lowered to much and my sentra is already pretty low for my tastes and its stock lol. but the spring choice is a great point which i totaly overlooked.

Here's another source I just remembered. I went to add this to the Suspension Thread today.

Then I figured out I had already added it last time. :eek2: ........

This guy has excellent feedback:

I have the exact same set-up, with an OEM front bar instead of the Progress. Mine is just a daily driver, and on crappy roads it does great. Wifey does NOT like being a passenger. I like it from the drivers seat, and I am old and broken up a bit.

Sweetness. That should kick ass.

Street? Track? Both?

That much I knew I knew. After that....I'd have to go look at that thread, then double check with someone way more knowledgeable than me.
