I'm pretty sure this has been brought up before, but today I saw a B14 Sentra which I thought was an SE(rims, and side skirts) but turns out it was a GLE. Whats the difference between the GLE and the SE?

GLE=GA16DE, SE=SR20.

Depends on the years too... cause the SE also came with the GA16de from 95-98 I think.. but then they came back with the SE with the SR20.

So I think the years depends on the motor in the car.. could be wrong though. But I think the SE's with the SE-R style rims are the ones with the sr20.. didnt those SE also have the gun metal rims.. I want those :D

the GLE was the Luxury level. the sentra se was manufactured as the sporty level in the b12 and b13, but then came along the se-r. in 95 nissan dropped the se moniker in the hopes that people who wanted sporty would opt for the 200sx. something about sporty and four doors just didn't mix back then. since nissan knew the 200 was goin' bye-bye, they re-instated the se level in 98 and dropped in an sr20 to back up the sports edition label. the GXE replaced the GLE as the "fully loaded" model. you can add all the looks stuff to a sentra to make it appear as if you drive a GXE or SE, but still own a XE.

the gun metal (they're actually titanium colored, but who cares!) se-r rims only came 1 year: 1999. i'll sell you mine for a set of konig heliums! ;)

If we are talking Sentras then this is the deal

This only applies to B14's
There was no Sentra SE until 1998
All B14 Sentra SE had the SR20
The XE, GXE and GLE all had the GA16

The 200SX had an SE model and it came with the GA16
The only 200SX's with the SR20 were the SE-R's

Basically 200SX SE-R = SR20
Sentra SE= SR20

I have owned a 95 Sentra GLE, 95 200SX-SE and now a 98 Sentra SE. Guess which one I liked best.

the B14 sentra GLE had the 200SX SE rims, those 14" curvy spoked ones. atleast in canada they did
