What is the difference between the brakes on nx's from abs to non-abs?
And why at some web sites do they list the se-r and non-abs nx with the same front rotor p/n's?
i thought the nx's were like 1.00" thick x 10.1" and the se-r's are like 9.8" x .81"?
Where can i get those carbotech panther pads as well?
help me out!!!

The rotors on all NX2000's are the same, abs or no. I don't know why they list them different sometimes, but they do. I had a hard time getting it straight myself, until I asked about it here. You can get a good deal on Brembo OEM style rotors at expressautoparts.com (http://www.expressautoparts.com/) . I got mine for $46 each. Just make sure to get the 26mm rotor.
Have you tried Carbotech's website? They have a lot of dif pads, but are a little high IMO. A lot of guys recommend coximport.com (http://www.coximport.com/) .

I hear your pain bloke. I went through this many times. For the NX2000 here in the states, It's safe to order rotors and pads for an ABS car without running into headaches even if your not ABS. I have been told that there are 2 different brake setups for the non-ABS NX2000. The bigger ones go on the non-ABS "sport" model and smaller ones on the standerd NX2000. Well where is this "standerd" one? I have never seen one. I think the parts blokes are confused between the NX2000 vs NX1600 brakes. There was a long post about a month ago on this subject in this forum or the Tech question forum. I can't remember. My favorite factory sized setup so far is factory pads, Powerstop front X-drilled and all factory rear brakes.... Yah, and Stainless braided lines with "Ati" blue or gold fluid.

I **** the ABS ones have the exciter ring on the inside of the rotor, which shold be OK on a non ABS model. Also according to Andreas Miko, ABS NX's have larger rear brakes than non-ABS. This would make sense becasue the rear brakes form an NX are the same as from sn SE-R, but it has larger fronts. So in theory they could have upgraded the brakes on the rear, but may run into control-loss problems while braking, with the car swapping ends. With the ABS the larger rears can be accomplished without worrying aobut lockup because of the ABS. As for my setup, I have stock rear rotors with Nissan pads, brembo slotted rotors on the front with EBC greenstuff pads. I havae only had these on the car for about 3 days and i dont think they are fully broken in (althouhg i used the procedure on SE-R.net). They are indistinguishable form stock at low braking effort, but when you really jam on the brakes, the EBC's stop much better. I hear that these pads do not last long at all, but so far they are doing their job. I have ordered stainless lines too. To get a firmer pedal, you can also swap in an Altima master cylinder. I have no experience, but according to Shoes 59, it is bolt in and makes a world of difference.

So does that mean that non-abs rotors won't work on an abs car? I would hate to steer someone wrong.

actually the abs ring is on the drive shaft on the outer cv housing...the only difference on the abs nxs is the spindle and the drive shafts i believe....

Drive shafts are the same, buy a refurbe'd axles from autozone abs and non are the same part#'s (unless they just add whatever they need to for abs on one axle and sell it as both to reduce cost...)
