Is there an AEM CAI for the 97 200sx SE-R? I've noticed applications for the earlier high and low port b13's and also for the 2001 sentra se 2.0, but nothing about the 97 sr20de application. if you know what the deal is with this, please help.

It will save a lot of flames if you use the search function before starting a thread. Not being an ass, just letting you know. The Aem cai you want will be sold as a lo-port model. Don't worry about the years that websites list. Welcome to the forums.

I really wish someone could that damned thing for less than $250!

Just so you know there is hardly any mark-up in intakes, maybe like 10 bucks or something like that. Especially on an item that doesn't have the production run of say an intake for a Honda. I would personally try to fab something up for alot less money.

what I got off of SE-R.net, was that the HotShot and the Place Racing are the same, except that the PR gets more torque across the band.

which cost more?

Thing is I've had 2 Place Racings, and 1 Hotshot. I just want something else, plus the dynos that show 2-3hp over with the AEM.

Jordan, the dynos released by AEM are very suspect. First, the dyno charts are in Excel format. That means that the numbers were entered from an original dyno sheet. I would like to see the original dyno sheet as is. Second, the numbers that they quote for a stock SR20 are too low. I do not remember the exact numbers, but it was a red flag when I saw them the first time.

I do not trust AEM. They proved to me that their numbers are erroneous when we tested an AEM intake on TWO Spec vs.

I would love to see an independent dyno for AEM on an SR20. I have a PR CAI on my Classic. If someone in SoCal has an AEM, I would love to dyno test both in July at the next SoCal dyno day. Until then, I will not waste my money on AEM.

That's a very good idea, I think it would interest alot of people.

AFAIK though Kojima confirmed the AEM made more power on the dyno on the SE-R mailing list awhile back.

I believe Kojima was looking at the dynoes AEM provided to him. That is not the same as doing your own independent dyno.

It's there but probably burried in the depths of hell now.

Anyway it's a blue AEM, brand new...doesn't fit my 99 G20 thats why I'm selling. Fits the 96+ SE-R.

I'll sell it for $190US+$20 shipping to US.

INJEN....no one mentioned INJEN, they maek a intake for your car. you should look into that. they were on groiup buy for around $250 shipped. and injen makes the best intake to date in my opinion. personally i don;t run ijen cause i wanted 3" piping so i went custom, but they makes a great CAI, from what i have seen on friends car and what not. let me check for a part #

EDIT: the part # is RD1964 for the racing development CAI its for a sentra SE-R 95-99, for an SR20 they said it would fit, they are on group buy center for $250 shipped
