Hi Im new to the forum. Got a question....I bought a used JWT ECU that was programmed for S4 cams. It really kicks ass! BIG difference. My idling problem went away. Check engine light went away. A lot smoother. Car is actually QUIETER. I am running a magnaflow exhaust with no resonator and my car used to be LOUD. Its funny that an ECU upgrade would actually make the car quieter but my it really is quiter - maybe it has to something to do with the fact that my engine doesn't have to struggle as hard and is also running smoother.

Anyways my question is - I am running stock cams with this ECU that has been programmed for S4 cams. Will this f*ck up my engine in the short or long term? Im still waiting on the cams but as of right now Im pretty satisified with how my car is running. :D

No, it will not hurt your engine. The ignition timing curve is a little different, but will not cause you any problems. It is programmed for 91+ octane, so make sure you use the good gas.

Cool... Oh one more question... There is a little relay or somethign attached to the ECU housing (but not actually a part of the ECU). Well my "relay" from my stock ECU is a little different than the one on the JWT I bought (probably from different model year SE-Rs). So it wont plug into my stock harness. I've been running 2 weeks with that "relay" unplugged. Does it make any difference? Thanx again.
