Do any of you guys know of shops in the Chicagoland area who will swap a bluebird into a 96 SE, and about how much it will cost

As you may have read otherwise in this forum, I love to help people out in my general area in terms of SR20 powered cars, even as much as swaps. I just completed my first full SR20DE swap into an NX2000 yesterday (not at my place though). The weekend after next we are swapping an SR20 into blackb13's classic SE-R. But you want to swap an SR20 into a GA16 powered car. That is something I don't know that can be done in one weekend at my place... I know you have to change ECUs, wiring harness, and crossmember... what else? If that's truly all of consequence, then I think we CAN do it at my place in one weekend. If you haven't read in other forums, I charge nothing except food and beverages for the weekend- pizza or fast food basically. Let me know if you are interested. I live in Kokomo, IN. Talk to blackb13, nismo91, Jerome, or other forum members from Chicago. They will let you know what they think if you are hesitant.

You needn't worry with Ben by your side.

Ben, does that mean you'll swap out the auto in my 200? :)

After all, you did swipe that SE-R right out under me.. :(

An auto swap would be an interesting project. I would be interested in helping you out with that, sure.

Yep! your in good hands with Ben "The Boss!" If your interested Ben is doing an engine swap on July 5th at his house. I might be heading there if you want to come.

If you want to hook up so you can get to know some of us Chicago folks come to our Nissan Meet on July 20th. Look in the Midwest section of the forum for more info.

You guys think there will be enough people there that weekend that could help me with installing the ES Torque Mount Inserts into my car? That doesn't take too long, right?

Which weekend? There is a geekout this weekend and next weekend at my place. There is none yet planned for this auto to manual swap.
