So my car has a act extreme clutch and its super hard, and has been bustin clutch cables for years so the other day i take off and i feel the clutch pedal just hit the floor.I get down check it and the pedals screws where it screws into the firewall had just ripped off and a chunk of the firewall was just bent all in and now the clutch is just hanging sideways wtf?I think its time to bust out the welding machine and get a softer clutch

I've hated every SE-R Iv'e driven with an ACT clutch. Why people put up with them is beyond me.
C
ACT blew up both my clutch cable and the clutch release arm ON the tranny.
Never again....

i have ACT's in 3 cars.... no probs, yet. knock on wood. now i did have to replace my clutch cables, but that was mainly due to the high mileage and wear on the cables...plus they were the original clutch cables. back to the man's prob. i've never encountered that, but i am gonna be a lil concerned now since i do run ACT's in 3 diff. cars. g'luck and sorry that had to happen to ya.

Mine ripped out the upper mounting bolt in my NX, yes, lots of welding. If it broke out on the firewall I would almost cirtanly reinforce it with sometihng.

My ACT XT PP / 6-puck was the best grabbing clutch i've ever driven. It's a little hard on your leg, but not bad. I will use it with my next setup/.

Wow. We all pretty much use ACT set ups on all the car that we have put together and never have I ever seen anything like this.
I had a ACT Extreme PP with my nitrous set up and I eventually used it with my turbo set up and I never had any issue. A few snapped clutch cables but, thats about it.

Happened to me with a centerforce 2 clutch + pp combo in my 93 ser. Mine ripped the top bolt off the clutch assembly right out leaving a 1" hole in the firewall....:eek2: WHAT A PAIN TO FIX!!!
