Here's some pics of my car, it's about 80% done. There are some bald spots that need to be repainted: the old Earl Scheib paint underneath has so little grip on the body, that when I ripped off the masking tape, the paint tore off as well heh... Guess I got a little anxious to get it all off. The rear bumper still needs to be wetsanded and polished (only the horizontal part, I am not polishing either bumpers on the vertical parts). The door handles need to be sanded down and sprayed with a flat black or dark gray. And I probably got alot more wetsanding, compounding, and polishing ahead of me. But for now I'm letting the car get baked in the sun. Hopefully the paint gets harder, *** it's still slightly soft at this point (some panels have already dried in the shade for almost 2 months).
I rolled Rustoleum marine paint on the sides of the car and bumpers, sprayed acrylic enamel onto my headlight trim, grill, and the side moldings, and used Brightside one part polyurethane paint on the top of the car.

in the pic below, you can see the orange peeliness of the paint. Looks like a BC/CC job huh? heh not really. Still got lots of wetsanding to do I guess. You can see where the paint cracked off at the bottom right of the pic. Apparently, the solvents in the acrylic enamel spray bomb that I used (to paint the side moldings) caused the Earl Scheib paint to lift off the 12 year old primer. Will need to repaint this and a few other areas kek...

If you get close enough to the car you will see waviness and paint lines and other defects that I didn't fix. I did an ultra sh*tty job on body work and paint prep, and it shows (and I don't really care anymore). However, I want the car to have that beat up look, so it may confuse people into thinking that the paint is actually OEM, and the body just has dents that were collected over the years.
