I recently install a SR20DE in my Nissan Primera 1991, the original engine was a SR18Di so some electrical rewiring was done.

I an experiencing some problems:

1. The car struggles to start in the mornings, some times I have to press the gas pedal a bit for it to start.

2. When I am in traffic or come to a stop the throttling constant fluctuates between 800 - 700 intermittently, when the A/C is on it drops to 600 - 500.
Also when the A/C is on and when the car come to a stop the car feels like it is going to stall.

Recently I change the IACV and the MAF but the problems still exist.

I'm thinking towards the fuel pump, but not sure....

The cold start issue could be the coolant temp sensor. Make sure you are using the correct sensor for the ECU you are using.

I am wondering, if the coolant temp sensor is bad would it prevent the fan from coming on?
Because my fan comes on at intervals.

check the voltage on the ect/wiring.-set the base timing and idle

How is this done? "set the base timing and idle"

hi i'm new to this site, I have several questions.......the biggest being a start problem. (96 200sx se-r) It won't start with the key a wire directly from the battery to the starter soleniod spins the engine over it tries to start but still won't. The only way i've been able to start it is by push starting.... what could be my problem....how am i supposed to post a question on here???

I had the same issue with my '93 G20 and after paying for almost everything under the sun, found out that all I needed was a timing adjustment. When I say everything, I mean changing the fuel filter, air filters, spark plugs and wires, distributor, checking exhaust, checking iacv, egr, and fuel injectors. I suggest doing the simple thing and adjust your timing. Your car should idle at 1000rpm everytime (except when waiting at lights) but will still ride perfectly afterwards. Best of all the AC will not make you lose any rpms.

I got the timing set to factory default. But the problem still exist.
