Yea agreed, what is it? I think it is auto zone or pep boys, has a feature for when you register on there site, they have a full listing of all recalls for the car. We have quite a few. These are still available to get things replaced??

So basically the plastic around the seatbelt breaks and falls into the latch making it inoperatable

My buckles are both breaking. The passenger one hardly clicks in anymore. It is embarrassing when new people ride in my car :rolleyes:. So you know this can be replaced if I show up and make an apointment? I realize I have to ask, but just wondering if I will get a blank stare if i say "hey I have a 91 sentra with a different motor and suspension, can you replace my seatbelt buckles? :tongue:"

I went to the dealership to get a buckle/latch for my first nx(5-6 years ago) and they replaced both my entire seatbelts and latches for free.

yes any b13, both will be replaced for free!!!! This webiste is great for other vehicles you might have...

seat belts are a huge safety item. if they dont replace them for free, since there is documentationof a recall, there could easily be a law suit against nissan and im sure they know that. so they will be more than happy to replace them.

*** i went to the dealer,woodfield nissan, and said that sometime both the driver and pass side buckels come undone while driving and i wanted them to fix them with the buckels that were recalled(rear nx buckles)........they wanted 249+tax for installing them!!!!!!!they should be free i told them ... Most, if not, all car manufacturers have a lifetime warranty on seat belts IIRC. I think it's partial federal regulation.

Only if they are still available. I tried to get new belts for my S12 but the are on back order. which means no more. Same with my B12. And I belive its 04MY and up its only 10 years

Does this mean a sign of this problem is a seat belt that does retract after unbuckling it? I didn't know it was such a serious problem and haven't seen any fraying. Looks like I need to make an appointment.

yeah, if it doesn't retract then it does not work properly. np figured everyone with a B13 should know about this
