: Hmmm..How many of us???
Soopastank 06-22-2002, 03:44 PM When I first started participating on this forum...bolt ons, cams, ecu and pullies was the main talk among forum members as far as mods. I rarely ever looked in the Turbo forums. ( Besides doing a little bit of research of course ) But now it pretty much seems as if our whole community is pretty much turbo. I wonder what the percentage is among the normal users on here. I know this probably won't give us a accurate count but i'll give it a shot anyway. For all those that are boosting *Say I* and for those not ( including those that are planning but don't have the parts on the car yet ) can we get a *Nay*
My how times have changed!:D

Storm88000 06-22-2002, 05:27 PM IMO this is because people are finally realizing that overall, bolt-ons are not really worth it.
You can spend $210 on a CAI, $410 on a header, $550 on cams, $550 on a greddy exhaust, $595 on a JWT ECU, $200 on UR pulleys = around $2400 - and maybe make around 150 horsepower at the wheels.
You can get a T25 turbo kit for that price or a little more and make over 200hp at the wheels. I think it's also because most everyone who has a turbo kit now started with just some bolt-ons in the beginning, and it's just the natural progression of things.
Soopastank 06-22-2002, 07:13 PM Didn't think about making a poll untill after I posted..I started a new thread with a poll so please give me your input there. Thanks!

i'm not arguing, but just hear me out. used cai $100, headers $400, used cams $300 or 91 cam for us b14 peeps @ $85, $350 on custom b pipe and basic straight thru muff, free 17 deg timing, and $500 for a 50 shot of NOS. granted w/o the JWT ecu and nos prog it won't be as effective, but it should still work. that's roughly $1800 for nearly the same hp.
personally, when i re-enlist, i'm gettin' turbo. but that's a while from now.
