My AGX are being installed today. I did a search but couldn't find what I was looking for. What setting is the most appropriate for street use? These have Hypercoil Springs first generation. Not even sure what the spring rates are. Any ideas? Thank's Rob

The settings really depend from driver to driver. A certain setting maybe comfortable to one driver, but harsh to another. You might want to try experimenting with shock settings yourself if you have the time. I'd start with the exact middle settings for both front and rear (2 and 4 respectively), and adjust from there. Hope that helps.

I say you have to just keep adjusting them until you find a setting you like. If you auto-x or road race, you should crank them up so the car is nice and stiff. I run 1 in the front and 1 in the rear, but i also have 350/300 coilovers, so i am trying to get the best ride i can on the street!

I think for street, 2 in the front and 4 in the rear. NIce and neutral

I dont recomend 3/6 for the streets. Not unless you feel like having to live in pain for a while because of sever muscle spasms on the spine.

It depends allot on your springs. I have Eibachs ProKits and run 3 front / 4 rear, Rob has much heavier springs and runs 1/1.

I think the 1st Gen Hyperco's are around 170lb springs. The information is all over the forum, do a search, you'll find it.

The problem is there are way to many AGX threads. And none that I have seen that relate to the combination I have. I guess I will just try different settings until I find one that I like. Thanks people. Rob

You need to hone your searching skills grasshopper.

Search AGX Hypercoil
4 Results. 2 of them were threads startd by you, so they can be eliminated. Third result is Brian Kiser, he's got AGX's and Hyperco's. Send him an email, and see what he says about good settings for the street.

Search AGX Hyperco
7 Results. The last one is by Brian Kiser again. Read it and you'll get everything you need to know.

You're welcome.

I have no suspensions travel in my car what so ever! I hit road work at 55 and have been paying for it for a few weeks now.

I tired 8 and it felt like I was pulling a Mack truck with a hook on my shoulders.

Had my first good long drive with the new setup. 2-4 Not bad at all. A little pogoing though. It actually rides better than my SE-R did with stock springs and regular KYB's. The front feels about perfect but you can feel the impact harshness in the rear. Might go to 3 and see if that helps. Also installed the Moti-Rear STB and a cheap front bar. Car is tight and tracks perfect. The toe was way off and I think that may have been causing that weird off throttle pull to the right. Overall I am pleased with this set-up. Thank's people. Rob

After a week of rideing at 2-4 the car seemed to get a little stiffer each day. All I can say it seems as the tank emptys and lightens it has a huge impact on ride quality. Today I had maybe 130LBS in the hatch and what a difference. Any body else notice how sensitive to variations in weight this set-up is? Must be a little nerve wracking on long track sessions.
