IMHO FWD cars does not perform good with more HP in the street w/o a good traction setup. Yes, you can build a 500whp FWD, but it'll be a toy car for the track.... Since most compact FWD cars will run borderline adrenaline with just 300-400whp on street, & off-course shit can still happen. I recommend you just get a RWD, or AWD setup vehicule if you plan of getting 500whp. But I would build the following:

88-90mm bore
re-sleeve block: ductile iron
forged pistons: SRP (no silicon content)
forged rods I/X beam: Pauter/Crower.
forged crank: 2001 Nissan SR20 w/re-drilled bigger crank bolts
bearings: Honda (yes, Honda make good bearings) /Custom Nascar type/Nissan.
Head gasket: Tomei Super grommet (88-90mm)
valve train: GTi-R or Tomei or Ferrea
Port & polish head: *for me to know, & for u to find out*
Injector: 660cc-900cc
Turbo: GT3037S or T51R/Incon GTBB37 or GTBB40
Oil pump: Tomei/Jun/etc/Dry sump.
Water pump: use bigger pulley / electric
ARP bolts: every bolt were it can keep your engine from falling apart.
Budget: pocket change of $$$$ where it can keep the hobby of speed.

Good luck in your journey =)

I agree with some of it, but I don't think that 500+ is to much for a front wheel drive car. This is not a steet car. The car could not even pass safty ( it is missing all the standard weigh your car down impact beams, glass, dash, and a lot more) I am not planing on going cheap with anything. I have plenty of time to get the car race ready (one year goal). The traction setup is still in ? but I would just perfer to get the $$$$ out of the way first. engine's are expensive and that is at the top of the to do list

Would I get more reply's if I asked 400+ cars?

88-90mm bore that sounds like it would be a very thin block

1 year build time is a very short amount of time to build a full race car. You better have a TON of money set aside for every little bit, and ALOT of free time. All I know about projects is it never goes as planned and not everything is in stock, alot will have to be custom and there are problems you will face that you will not have a clue on what to do.

yes that is understood I work two full time jobs. both pay well and the car has been worked on for a while. I have a shop that helps me when needed. It is called Add It 2 your toy. We have built many race cars nine sec. honda civic ten, sec. talon, (fwd and awd) and more If you think this is going to be hard try a none turbo mr2 to turbo atezza engine that will give you all the problems one can think of. but money should not be a problem. I think that the biggest problem is time to work on the car (lots of all nighters).
