turbo is probly cheaper if you do vvl your gonna need the entire swap and quite a bit of fabrications

turbo will be "cheaper". As for a vvl swap, you dont need "the entire swap"(whatever taht means), and no fabrication required

i was talking about a sr20ve with vvl and you would have to do some kind of fabrication to put the engine in

why would you need a lot of fab??? its lowport to lowport. all you need is the motor. same tranny. same motor mounts. same harness. same ecu.

not saying its cheaper, just setting the record straight.

this VE vs. DET battle has raged on for a while now. i think it all comes down to personal preference. no one can tell you what you want.

as far as running low 13's... check out the drag racing section on the NA and Turbo boards

there is no fabrication required for a vvl swap..whether going from high port to low port or vice versa...ive done this swap on my own car bro...i KNOW whats needed.

i know. but with the lowport. even if the VE's throttle body is damaged in shipping... you can use the stocker. (dont ask why i would come up with that "scenario") >=[

Are you kidding?!? Someone should just post you up a complete lists on both swaps and the pricing?

It is readily apparently that you have done ZERO reSEARCH into this set of questions.

Read this:

http://www.sr20forum.com/neovvl-guides/

Every single thread in that section twice. No slacking.

Now read this:

http://www.sr20forum.com/turbo-guides/

Every single thread in that section twice.

There will be a mid-term in two weeks. You better study your ass off, you fail and you get sent to New Members for an additional 90-days. No parole or early release.

You have been here far too long to have no idea where the Technical Library is located. :tsk:

You answered this thread without the faintest hint nor glimmer of knowledge or reSEARCH. It's becoming a habit of yours:

http://www.sr20forum.com/200sx-se-r/207440-lowering-b14.html

This is the SECOND TIME you have answered threads with NO CLUE whatsoever. Just shut your ignorant mouth and keep your erroneous information to yourself. You are starting to get really, really, irritating. Sit back and learn on the forum for a few months or years, right now you confirm your ignorance every time you post.:squint:

It doesn't matter what you said, you have no clue whatsoever. Worse, you seemingly think you know what you are talking about.

^no, people want stuff handed to them when others have searched and put in the time to actually learn what they are trying to learn. Want to know about something, go to the library and grab a book, look up a few websites. The info is out there. Many of us have learned the hard way on how to do things...then we take our time to come back and relay what weve learned...the least someone can do is search.

ShawnB, am I seeing a deja vu?

Didn't you say the similar/exact words for another member? :confused: :rofl:

Anywho... Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I've seen...

DD = VVL
Weekend Warrior = Turbo

VVL = Around 170-187 BHP depending on tranny
Turbo = 300+ WHP depending on setup.

Both probably will cost around the same amount.

more like:

VVL= ~175-215ish whp, depending on mods
Turbo=~180-400+whp, depending on turbo/tuning
VET/-T= :biggthump
