: b15 boost
B15sentraDE 07-24-2007, 10:07 AM so i ran my car again after the rebuild and im impressed.
i rebuilt my de with det pistons and rods and arp everything. s3 cams, bc valve springs stainless valves and new guides.
last year the best i could pull was a 14.07 on 10 psi, stock de boosted
last weekend i ran a 14.1 on 7 psi on not heated drag radials.
planning on running again this friday and im gonna heat up them drag radials and run around 12-14 psi. im hopeing for around a 13.5.
do you guys think thats an attainable goal???
sonny 07-24-2007, 11:23 AM What was your 60ft and your trap speed on that last weekend run? You're raising the boost considerably so shaving a half a second doesn't seem impossible... I'd refrain from going past 12psi on that T25 though.
Octave236 07-25-2007, 05:47 PM if it was just for the track I would say he could easily do 14-15 psi. I daily drove on 14 psi. and at the track 17 psi.
B15sentraDE 07-26-2007, 12:08 AM 60ft was a 2.26 cause i didnt really heat up the drag radials, and my trap wqas 99.98mph
Lookin4AClassic 07-26-2007, 12:25 AM I got the same goals and im hoping to get those numbers.
Im runnin stock BB at 14psi on street tires. just gonna let a little air out.
good luck bro
B15sentraDE 07-28-2007, 09:52 PM so i end up getting a 13.9 @ 103.6 2.2 60ft. drag radials had 15psi in them but i dont think they got the heat they needed cause my e-brake wasnt holding all that well. spun all of first gear and all of second gear and the boost was around 12psi. if i can get that 60ft time down to a 2.0 thats easily a 13.5 pass. well see how it goes when the next grudge night comes along.
nismo94tuner 07-29-2007, 01:41 AM Definately crank that boost up bro. I plan on running 18psi on race gas. I definately think you can run a 13.5 with ease man. Shoot for some low 13's or high 12's on the drag radial tires.
daveracer 07-29-2007, 03:15 PM so i end up getting a 13.9 @ 103.6 2.2 60ft. drag radials had 15psi in them but i dont think they got the heat they needed cause my e-brake wasnt holding all that well. spun all of first gear and all of second gear and the boost was around 12psi. if i can get that 60ft time down to a 2.0 thats easily a 13.5 pass. well see how it goes when the next grudge night comes along.
Not bad, not bad at all.
B15sentraDE 08-03-2007, 11:25 PM update:
so i ran again tonight, heated up the radials pretty good.
13.70 @ 103.98 2.17 60 ft.
still got some room for improvement, i know i can get that 60ft down some more
this was done on around 11ish psi of boost
Ricer_X_01 08-05-2007, 03:25 AM nice times man :biggthump i think i sold you a spearco intercooler and some pipe for your b15 a lil while ago? was that you?
B15sentraDE 08-05-2007, 04:38 PM haha yea that was me. i re did the pipes black but everything worked perfectly, im running again the 24th of august. should be a better time seeing as the toyo tire nationals are the weekend before that. track prep will be amazing. and the boost will be going up.
Ricer_X_01 08-05-2007, 10:36 PM werd i thought so. i never got to use the parts, but im glad they worked out for you. anyways, you should take some pix soon. i'd like to see your setup.

thats a link to my myspace, it has a lot of different pics of my car, more to be added soon.
B15sentraDE 08-27-2007, 10:34 AM ran again, not to much better but everytime i go its a better time.
2.0 60ft, 13.60@103.
thinking im gonna wait till it gets a little colder out to run her again.
t bags 08-27-2007, 11:17 AM get some full blown slicks and u will hit 12's
B15sentraDE 08-27-2007, 01:45 PM well i still got 4psi of boost to go up yet and i still need to play with my methanol injection. but slicks would be nice on top of that.
psushoe 08-27-2007, 09:29 PM What track are you going to? I may come out and play next time you go. I need to drop my times. Best so far is a 13.8 at 108 with a 2.3 60ft on street tires. I spin a lot :)
B15sentraDE 08-28-2007, 12:20 PM i go to maple grove raceway in mohnton pa, its kinda near reading pa.
i may be racing again this weekend, but i think i have just maxed out the stock de maf, cause everytime i use my higher boost around 13-14 it goes straight into limp mode.
so i ran my car again after the rebuild and im impressed.
i rebuilt my de with det pistons and rods and arp everything. s3 cams, bc valve springs stainless valves and new guides.

Sorry for this little off topic.. did you use the BC springs etc on the RR head?
Congrats.
B15sentraDE 08-28-2007, 11:58 PM yes i used the bc springs on the rr head. i found out the hard way that the 00-01 rr heads use different length valves than the older engines. i had the 7mm det valves and 7mm guides put into my head only to find out that with them in, my engine had no compression casue they were staying open. so i had REV valves custom make me 7mm stainless valves at the RR length. pain in the arse it was. and rather costly
