One of mine blokes is doing this swap right now. He has the DET and SR20DE trany. This swap has been done before and is pretty straight forward. You should have no more difficulty installing a DET into your XE vs an SE-R. I know you will have to call Jim Wolf for the ECU so ask him a few questions. They are pretty bleedin nice there. You can also post in the turbo forum. Maybe Andre can help you also. Good hunting bloke.

If u decide to purchase a SR20DET, make sure you purchase the bluebird motor. That transmission fits in your car, eliminating the need to locate a SER transmission. Anyways PM me if you are interested in buying a SR20DET.

Shoe--- Did you say a BB SR20DET trans will fit in a SE-R or a Sentra. I beg to differ with you on that. I have never seen a BB SR20DET Trans been put into a US Sentra FWD. Now I have put hydralic BB SR20DE trans in Sentras but with a little conversion work. If you can do and sell what you said above then teach me something.

"94XE", that is Andre above. Need turbo bits, etc... check with him. He set mine bloke up with a great used trany and DET. Word around FL is he knows his stuff. :) My day will come for a JDM 10:1 and this is the bloke I'm buying from.

The most common price I see a DET go for is about $1,800 +/- some change. I have heard of full front clips going for just under $4,000. The price can go up or down depending upon the engine and source. A good used trany can run around $500 +/- $$. These are the numbers I see and hear most often. There are a lot of little things to do. It's well worth the outcome though. Check the turbo/DET forum for more info.

Little stuff you'll need:

Axles
at least one if not two mounts..
Wiring harness
Stock ECU to use as a core for the JWT ecu
I'd upgrade to a SE-R alternator
I'd also get a SE-R cluster...
While your in there I'd upgrade the brakes...

Lots of other little bits... its not cheap, as most suggest I'd sell the xe and get a SE-R..

oh ya for parts you'll need:

Here is what you need for a nice setup. DET motor, flywheel, clutch, flywheel bolts, motor to trans bolts, metal plate between motor and trans, Trans, Axles, axle bracket DE, engine mounts, wireharness, SR20DE radiator, trans to motor engine mount rear bracket and SR20DE computer. Most motors come with Dist, PSP and Alt. Thats about it.

Sorry, yes i do know that the BB DET trans doesnt fit the B13 chassis. For some reason i was thinking about the BB SR20DE, even though i knew that the question was.
