i just read the other thread and i really hope the clear turn signals come through....just like everyone else, i have been looking for those for a long time...

anyways, i have a friend with a 96 240sx. they of course have the benefit of having stock clear turn signals...i was looking at them and noticed they are the same size as ours...so i took hers out but the only problem is that the inside is shaped a little differently. now im wondering if anyone else has ever tried this? maybe it is possible to do a little work on those lights to make them fit in the nx?

Edit: As of today I have successfully installed clear turn signals on my 93 nx...It took a little fudging around but it works...if people are in fact interested I will post the steps I took to get it to work.

I thought of that a while back too. Also the Mistubishi Galant and Ford Van lights look like they may work.

Note, can the 240SX lenses come off of the housing like the NX lenses? If so then it may work. I have not come across a 240 to try it. Let us know.

yeah deffinately post on how to do that preferably with some pics, im workin on a clear corner deal right now, your method might be easier

in response to getting the 240sx lenses off I was not successful in doing so after going thru much trouble....secondly, the lights are not exactly the same size so I don't think they would secure on anways...if anyone else can do this, I would like details! :)

ok guys...well ill tell you first off that it's not easy...then again, if you want them real bad then you'll probably not mind going thru the hassle...

first you have to obtain a pair of nissan 240sx lights...how you get them is up to you, but i warn you going from the dealer is really expensive....i think it could be close to $75 or something, but im sure they can be had elsewhere for much cheaper...
if you're lucky like me you know someone who might be willing to trade *** they don't care much...

anyway, once you have the corners you'll need to do some moderate modifications to make it work....now keep in mind before you think im mad that i have been looking for these corners for like 5 years...

so you'll need something that can cut thru the plastic on the inside.....you need to cut the plastic off to the smaller side of where the light is inserted...

note: unless you cut this plastic off it won't fit in our socket right...
now the second problem is that the light doesn't "snap in" since they use a different hex shape....so you have to use a little tape, but that isn't too hard...

once this is done you'll actually have to use a little force to get the lights to fit in their places.....also you'll need to get longer screws since the 240sx are bigger....

once this is all said and done it actually looks decent.

However, for anyone that is willing to try this I highly recommend that you don't go thru this trouble until we wait to see if Fonque can get his deal going...this should be much easier! :)
