there is something wrong with my shifter i dont know what is wrong with it it sometimes falls through the shift box when i am driving and mainly when its in gear. it also feels like it is in neutral when it is in gear anybody think they know what is wrong with it?

This happened to me about a week after installing my short shifter. The shifter linkage bolt is probably loose/ fallen out on the road. When this happened, my bolt was really loose and I couldn't shift in gear, only neutral. My stick sort of laid to the side.

There is a spring that is supossed to be connected to the linkage near the shifter if that spring is not connected your shift lever will wobble.

me too, i went to nissan and ordered a rubber gasket thing (cant think of what its called) to put around the ball on the short shifter. it solved the problem.

I believe what you placed around shifter will stop the shifter from popping up, the spring I was refering to alows the shifter to maintain it's upright position, so that its not slopping all around.

right, but the gasket thing, hold on, i'll call nissan.........
