: SCCA Nationals?Anyone else going?
Bucky13 07-27-2007, 02:00 PM I registered today for Nationals in Topeka,and wondered if any one else,Se-R wise,was going.B13,B14,doesn't matter,just hoping I'm not carrying the Nissan torch by myself.I drive a 96 Se-R in DSP,fighting a bunch of Beemers.Should be ugly.As long as I don't finish dfl,I spose I should be happy.Anyone??
Nice... I was driving a STX Integra Type R.... until this past week/weekend/tonight....
Now we are running a DS Integra Type R.... :D
What days does DSP run?
I *should* be 93 DS... still have not signed up though. Last year was my first year at Nationals.
wacked2882 07-27-2007, 03:20 PM I'll be there
89 STS - 89 Civic Si
Last years Nationals was my first event with a 3 run format :) I plan on doing much better this year.
2nd Peru NT
4th Milwaukee NT
Oh and I think the BMW's are the least of your worries this year :) DSP should be interesting this year with the new HooHoo's
Nick, I believe you and I are running on the same days this year....
wacked2882 07-27-2007, 03:40 PM I plan on being much more social around paddock this year. Last year I was kinda in awe of everything and just hung out with the locals from my region. I've met a ton of people at the 3 tours I've been to this year and the tequila will be flowing big time Sunday through Wednesday baby!
Brian - whiskey or tequila? I'll take both but we're having a few together w/o a doubt.
Both... but prefer some good whiskey... and Jack Daniels is not whiskey. ;)
Bucky13 07-27-2007, 04:30 PM I'm running Tuesday/wednesday.I'm getting there friday night, doing the T&T on Sunday and just hanging out, soaking it all in.I"ll keep track of everyone who's going from the forum, and do my best to meet all of you. It's always nice to put a face with a name.
My region,Central Kentucky,is bringing about 15-20 people. We generally travel around to most every event within about 175 miles, doing our best to do 20-25 events a year. Our sole representitives at Nationals have been the Schwiekles(DSP,DSPL) in a 76 Alfa. They have been to EVERY one.35 yrs!We all decided to join them this year.
wacked2882 07-27-2007, 05:01 PM How about Bookers?
or Old Grandad 114?
Wild Turkey 101?
Just to list some of my favs... :)
oh and if we run out of the good stuff - 10 High
I just found out I get my annual ten days of vacation starting August 28, but I have to use them all before the end of the year - no carryovers. It's the "Erm, WTF?" vacation policy, but I have time to burn in September.
I have autocrossed nine years, done Tours (ran into Nick at Walnut Ridge last time), and even ran an event on the HPT Nationals pad, but never the big show itself. If any of my local hotshoes need a tire warmer and have sleep space, I might see you guys there.

It looks like Mr. Buck is in the trophies in DSP after the first day. That's a SE-R beating a whole lot of BMWs. There's no way you're getting DFL!
I wonder what the weather was like during that heat? I'm guessing rain?
I notice my local autocross buddies Pat and Eric are also in the DSP trophies in a Subaru.
I'm going to drive up Friday if anyone else will be there and is reading this.
Bucky13 09-26-2007, 06:18 PM Well, day 2 of my Nationals has ended! Not DFL,but 10th place, one out of the trophies!I hope I represented the Forum well.In the woulda/coulda/shoulda department, prolly left a half second out there both days,but....still thrilled stupid! And yes,day1 was wet and chilly.Yay for low power fwd!Today was sunny and warm, and Istillhung right with the big boys:eek2: Anyway,i had hoped totalk to other forum guys, but I was alittle overwhelmed by the scale of things,so I hope everyone had a good time, and everyone was fast.
Our region(Central KY region) brought 14 drivers and all placed pretty well, with a trophy going to my buddy Dave(5th place HS).the rest of us were close but not quite trophy worthy.Still it was FUN! Highly reccommend it to anyone.Time to shower and nap.SR20 RULES!!!!
Good job. Not a soft class at all.
well done! Nice to see a 200sx doing well in a class! I also noticed a Spec-V doing well in...ummm...HS... I think; on one of the days.
jingjing 09-28-2007, 03:02 PM nice job andy.

Everything at Nationals has a wing
SHigSpeed 09-28-2007, 10:39 PM GREAT showing! I used to run DSP in my SE-R and though I was a big fish in a small pond locally, but regionally I was WAY outclassed.
Bravo!

Fuck Nationals and Fuck Matt Grainger.
He's the one who protested the vacuum line? Have you run against him at previous events this year?
