: Cruise Control Parts, '93 NX2k
Greg Amy 07-27-2007, 08:04 PM Need the following cruise control parts for an NX2000 to finish my install:
- Brake pedal
- Throttle body bellcrank
- Steering wheel switch (not the whole wheel, just the switch)
- Cruise ECU (must be from a '93; apparently those were different than the earlier and Sentra ones..)
Please PM, priced shipped to Middletown CT 06457...
TOOQIKK 07-27-2007, 09:22 PM you need the little switch that goes to the brake pedal? if so i have that
the steering wheel switch i have too
ill have to look for the ecu i think i still have one in the garage and
the bell crank? if thats the part that the cables connect to i have one or two of those and should have the cable holder too....

I'm good on the brake switch itself; what I need is the pedal, as it has a plate welded on it that that switch actuates on.
Note the ECU must be from a '93; it appears that Nissan changed the ECU's wiring harness plug on that year (I have en ECU from an earlier Sentra, and it won't fit).
The "bellcrank" does refer to the part the throttle and cruise cables attach to; I'll even consider buying (or swapping with you) a whole throttle body) - GA
TOOQIKK 07-28-2007, 11:08 AM i have extra TBs...lol
so no swapping needed but its just as easy to swap the TB as it is to swap the "bell crank"
for the ecu count how many pins the connector is ...i remember they are different counts so that makes them easy to identify
im headed off to the garage to check my inventory and ill be back in a few to give you an update
Greg Amy 07-28-2007, 11:14 AM ...its just as easy to swap the TB as it is to swap the "bell crank"
Whatever's easiest - and least expensive - is fine with me.
for the ecu count how many pins the connector is...
Now you're gonna make my old eyes hurt...I think the one I have - that doesn't work - is sixteen. It's got part number 18930-69Y06 on it, I think I need 18930-69Y12 or Y14.
Greg
TOOQIKK 07-28-2007, 11:26 AM alrighty the piece you need to hook the end of the cruise cable to the TB actually mounts above the TB the same place the throttle cable does(i have that)
the steering wheel switch( i have that)
the "ecu" i only have the older styles( i would try and get an older style plug and just splice it in) ...if you are a contributor you could just use the wiring diagrams and voila youd have it done......i could never find the right "ecu" ...the one i did was way over priced.....lol
and i thought i still had the pedal but only have the blue switch left......
so if you want the switch and "bell crank" ill do 25 shipped......
WOT2000 07-28-2007, 05:30 PM Well som'bitch... I just got your PM Greg, about the ecu I sent not working. Sorry about that. So it's a completely diferent connector, not just a bum unit I sent? The stuff was all working up to the time I crunched the car :( If it helps, the shipping cost 0.80 more than I charged you.
I'd offer you the TB stuff, but I sold the engine last year. Hope the actuator, pump etc work for you.
Greg Amy 07-28-2007, 06:01 PM Not a problem AT ALL, Wayne. It just seems the '93 NX has a different cruise ECU than others. Not only is the plug in a different orientation ("down" on the earlier ones, I suspect "up" on the '93) but the factory NX harness has a different connector.
On the bright side, everything else looks like it plugs right in and bolts right up...
TooQIKK, I'll contact you via PM. I've got a possible line on a brake pedal and maybe even an ECU, so that should complete the deal.
But, given I don't have these part in-hand, if anyone else has parts, please contact me. - GA
WOT2000 07-28-2007, 07:15 PM Greg, do you have a part catalog? Like the Courtesy Nissan ufiche scan? I just looked at mine, and the part numbers are all over the damn place for that ECU. I didn't grok all of it but there is a big 91 & 92 vs 93 & 94 split, then differences for auto, manual, etc. It looks like the 1991/92 part# is 18930-69Y02 and 93/94 is 18930-69Y12.
Greg Amy 07-28-2007, 08:48 PM Same thing I found Wayne. Best I can tell, all the earlier ones supercede to 69Y06 (what you sent to me), and the 69Y12 supercedes to the Y14.
I need one of the later ones, 69Y12 or 14. - GA
Bowlcut 07-28-2007, 10:56 PM whatcha dont find let me know Greg. I can make a trip to pull a part and pick up some stuff. there was a 93 nx there with cruise i do belive. dont think its been pulled off the lot yet. i work all of 5 mins from the place and is only a dollar to go in and check for parts. anything you need for any thing...all i gota do is go pull it off
eric96ser 07-28-2007, 11:25 PM Greg, you don't need the brake pedal. When I put cruise in my '91, I wired the brake switch into the one that turns the brake lights on. I'll have to go over the wiring diagram Geo made, but I didn't swap the brake pedal in my car, and cruise has been working great for years now.
TOOQIKK 07-29-2007, 02:40 PM ill have the pic for you later today and will have it packaged waiting to hear from you after that.....
Greg Amy 07-30-2007, 10:40 AM Eric, if you happen to know if the ECU is looking for a ground or for a voltage, and what the input wire is, I can wire appropriately...it would be nice to simply "plug in" all the proper components (and make it nice and factory-like) but my "industriousness" has limits...
TOOQIKK: Roger. - GA
TOOQIKK 07-30-2007, 07:26 PM you got pm and a pic at your email addy:over.-Don
