well i took my se-r to the track this weekend
seven hour drive to great bend, kansas.
ran 4 times, humilitated an integra.

now here's the problem.
started my car up today and everything seemed fine, until i gunned it out of my parking lot and noticed there was no boost.
come to find out my turbo is no longer spooling.

and both of my radiator fans aren't running.

and the heat shield cover to my ehaust manifold is starting to burn through...

so this sucks.
is my turbo fried from the heat of my manifold?

That sucks. Take off the oil line and prime it to see if you get flow. It may have run dry somehow.

Do you hear the turbo spooling at all? If so, check your wastegate, it may be stuck open,

Have you checked to see if it still spins by hand?

hopefully you didn't suck something up and either the turbo wheel or wastegate is stuck

i havent really got a chance to actually take the turbo out and look at it...
hopefully i can get to that this weekend
ill have to go look at the wastegate but there is no sound when i rev it up
but once i get it past 4500rpm my boost controller says im hitting 0.05 ive gotten it up to 0.07 but thats about it

im considering just breaking down and going ve+t
im not sure how much the engine has left in her...

I had a similar situation, and the nuts that hold the turbo to the manifold backed out. Its worth it to take a look before you start a major project.

Just take off the intake arm and spin it from the compressor side. ;)

OK I took off my intake and checked it out.
The turbo is spinning just fine, nothing is stuck
The wastegate is fine, not stuck open
all the bolts are secure

I just don't know what to do now...:squint:

OK new update.
Now somehow my car does in fact get boost.
turbo spools, wastegate opens and closes.
But I only start to get boost when I reach 3400RPM

I'm sure it's gotta be a faulty sensor...
What sensor would be causing this?

Pressure test the entire system.

If you are sure your wastegate is closing and opening and your turbine still spinning dont worry its nothing serious, Its probably your boost controller solenoid, or you have a huge boost leak. Start by checking your IC piping, Couplers, IC itself for any leaks you want to get that out of the way. Check your Blow off or By pass valve, Check all your vacumm hoses.

I didn't realize you had a boost controller on the car. Remove it, and see how you do. When troubleshooting, always eliminate as much complexity as possible.

Also, where are you sourcing the boost signal from for the wastegate?

I was down in Springfield,MO visiting a friend of mine and we went to a local park. At this park, there were about 10 Honda/Acura tuner cars there. They were having a BBQ or something. You gotta get that car running again and back out on the streets to represent! :)
