One for sale in my neighborhood. It's red. Has 99,000 miles and no A/C. Any idea what the A/C cost to fix? It could be a good commuter car.

the kelley blue book private party value of the car is 3,775. that is a good estimate, but depending on how good the car is mechanically and physically may vary that estimate. the ac is a tough thing to mess with unless you know exactly whats wrong. most likely causes are a bad evaporator or compressor, possibly leaky lines. i know the r12 freon we use for our ac is about 30 dollars a can. hope this helps.
