: EGT resistor

Can anybody tell me the correct value of a resistor to replace the EGT sensor (EGR Temp sensor) on an SR20? My engine is out, so I can't measure it. If any one knows, or can measure it, I would appreciate it.

Thanks

For anyone with a California ECU planning on doing a SR20DET swap and still using the stock SR20DE ECU, just trying to help figure out what resistor (ohm) value should be used. The manual says at 212F or 100C the resistor value should be 77 tp 93 K-ohms, we should know that is pretty cold for an engine and that the MAX engine temp should be no hire than 1652F or 900C so if anyone could help with this please do so it shouldn't be that hard if you have a multimeter I have a digi-multimeter but I am not driving my car at this moment, it's getting ready for the SR20DET. In all honesty though it would probably be more benificial to just re-route the EGT sensor into the exhaust track somewhere that way it can vary in value from cold to hot just my $0.02 cents.

So, I am trying to figure out what a good strategy is to deal with this, and I think I need some more info on what the EGR Temp sensor actually does.

Is the EGT even the same as an EGR Temp sensor?

I thought that it monitors to make sure there is a temperature change when the EGR valve should be opening. Is that correct? If that is the case, then moving the EGT to be on the downpipe wouldn't really help matters, right? And a resistor would only do the trick if it were somewhere on the CPU.

Or, Is it just monitoring the temp of the exhaust gas? My FSM is in my car at the shop, so I am helpless.

The car is a 91 NX2000
