How do you know if your in timing mode after you do the cool little dance?

buy a consult cable and a laptop. Its the only consistent way I could get into timing mode. I only got it in timing mode with the FSM method once.
But if you do it the FSM way, you will know you are in timing mode because the revs will drop after do the last 3 revs above 3 grand.

www.blazt.biz i believe they cost like 80 shipped or 100 shipped or so.

if it is necessary this is what i usually do and it works

1] turn car on
2] rev the car to 3k about 3 times
3] turn car off and disconnect TPS
4] turn car on
5] rev to 3k about 3 times
6] adjust idle if necessary
7] adjust timing
8] turn car off
9] connect tps
10] good to go =]

hahaahah ....seriously? look at your throttle body; on the side facing the firewall theres a brown connector clip. thats it.

I know where its supposed to be...but its not there. neither is my screw to adjust idle.

#'s 3,4 and 5 are not really necessary. Except #3 where you disconnect the TPS.

Well i think you should checked the Tech Info library first because i just remembered theres a how to on this.

You only have to have the water temps operational. That's because at higher or lower than normal temps the ECU will actively adjust timing.
