SOTP feel is a bit hard to judge because the car feels faster throughout the whole powerband. Unlike my intake cam that I could definetly feel at 5K+. My finely tuned butt-dyno tells me that I've probably gained about 5WHP, but we'll let the real dyno tell us what the peak gain is.

nice job you anal bastard.. lol

I know....I know, but hey, at least we know we can eat off my engine bay at the geekouts when we don't have any tables.:D

When you purchased the part, what application was it under? Is it a '94 lowport SE-R?

Great! Mine is coming in soon and I might need some install tips. What did you encounter?

The only problem you will have is prying back the metal to fit the B-pipe, and thats not even that hard to do. It's pretty straightforward, I'm installing mine on Monday.

Prying back what metal? To fit the intake tube?

Yes. That is really the only difficult part of the installation.

How did you figure out that battery tray relocation thing? I don't understand the way it installs.

I finally recieved my AEM yesterday and installed it the same evening. Everything went pretty smoothly, being that it wasn't exactly for my car. I didn't even re-locate my battery, I only did one bolt on the battery tray and it's as solid as a rock.
It's a weird story because, like martin said, you have to pry back the metal for the tube, along with a mounting bracket welded to the tube, to fit through. While my friend Andy and I were doing this, the robo-grips that Andy was prying the metal with let go, and his hand weny flying across my engine bay and he split his thumb to the bone on something sharp next to the engine. We had to make a run to the emergency room, but not until my intake was finished!
To make a long story a little shorter, the intake sounds remarkable! I have definately gained something, probably somewhere between 3-6hp. I can now whoop the pants off of my friends Civic EX, where as before, it was pretty much even all the way. But he also had a header and intake, so Nissan power is still supreme!

Yeah, do you notice the famous low-port roar at around 7000rpms? I do with this CAI, but didn't with the Hotshot.
