: New Leather Seats in the B14
praedet 08-03-2007, 11:20 PM Well, I just finished installing the two front seats and the cusion in the rear. The covers are black leather w/ a charcoal suede insert. The suede actually seems lighter than it is in the flash.

While I was doing the covers I put in seat heaters for each seat. The only thing left to do is to do the back portion of the rear seats and to install the seat heater switches. I delayed doing the back in the back seat because my amp is installed on the back side. The wrinkles should gradually go away with a few applications of leather conditioner combined with the cover breaking in :D
Thanks to Greg V. of G Spec Performance for the great deal on some sweet seats, and thanks to leatherseats.com for the seat heaters :biggthump
I'll post up the finished pics later this week hopefully...
Ted
StYLez Se-R 08-03-2007, 11:56 PM How much did they run you?
praedet 08-04-2007, 12:12 AM I think the seats would be on the order of $700 or so normally. I got a very good deal from Greg :D
StYLez Se-R 08-04-2007, 12:19 AM Nice how hard was the install? WRITE UP LOL
TommyD241 08-04-2007, 01:43 AM Cool! Kinda steep price but they look really good.
praedet 08-04-2007, 01:49 AM I might get around to the write-up, the instructions on the leatherseats.com website were pretty good...
eric96ser 08-06-2007, 04:55 PM I'll keep my cloth seats. They look like AutoZone covers ( don't fit right).

I have to agree. They look sorta cheap :poke:
HellFire 08-06-2007, 05:19 PM I agree with ^
Hope you're right about breaking-in and stretching. I found like-new G20t seats - I paid less than $300 for them... But damn are the fronts a pain in the ass... wish I bought those hog ring pliers.. ;)
praedet 08-07-2007, 12:46 AM Whatever you guys say
I guess it looks better in person because my wife has gotten a lot of compliments on it already. It feels much better than many of the OEM leather seats I have sat in lately :eek2:
The stock seats had some holes, so this was a fix. We wanted the suede inserts so you wouldn't slide around when cornering, and the seat heaters are an added bonus for Colorado winters :biggthump
Honestly, you are better off judging it in person. But, I love the willingness of folks around here to go for the cheapest, not least expensive, but cheapest, route possible on everything :D Quite a bit different than the other car forums I frequent. Just wanted to show off something I haven't see on here before

They do look nice, but I would also agree with the looks of it. I also hope they break-in and stretch out.
HellFire 08-07-2007, 02:00 AM Heated seats and suede inserts are very nice indeed.
And you're right, i'm not there to try them so I can not comment on comfort or how they are in comparison to stock seats. Instead I reflected my comment on the visual representation of the seats.
Congrats otherwise. :D

If we were all going the cheapest route, we'd all have those "electronic supercharger fans" or ebay bars. hehe. Sadly I don't see too many members flaunting those items. I do, however see a lot of members using group-buys, and finding great deals on items that are high priced. Such as $150 header that puts the H$ header in the crapper. Or RM springs that are a god-send in comparison to the garbage the competitive market sell.
Yes, were mostly poor on this forum (I include myself). But with the enormous amount of information on products that are the best back for buck for our econo-cars.... Cheap is not the word...
roblop04 08-07-2007, 12:04 PM i like my Ts better and I only paid $150 for mine... you just got to look hard for them...

T's as in Infiniti G20T, touring edition only model with black leathers.
ImTwoosxy 08-12-2007, 01:49 PM Does anyone knows if the G20T leather backseat will fit my 98 200sx SE-R?
HellFire 08-12-2007, 02:29 PM Yes, it will- the bottom portion goes in without a hitch... you just need to have folding back seats stock... and a grinder. ;)
Strange1 08-13-2007, 09:45 PM So you mean that the rear seats from the g20t wont fit?Whats the grinder for? What needs to get grinded?
Wicked R 08-13-2007, 09:48 PM Well WTF!!! You live right in town with me and I have never seen you around...
Shit!!
Cheers-
Erich
