hi..i have a b13...motor is stock...n i wanna run nitrous. where should i start n *** should i get?...like in terms of parts. i wanna run wet nitrous...using the progressive control..i just wanna know *** are the parts i need to get...and should i do anything with my engine? like timing and plugs? and exhaust? i have a 4.5" hyper performance exhaust with 2.5" piping. also i wanna know how do i find out if my engine has upgraded cams?...cause it idles kinda rough n ppl say it does...but i dont know cause i just bought it. just anything concerning running nitrous will be good rite now.
i want to know too. getting a wet kit when tax time comes.

If your running anything over a 50 shot you should retard the timing and use colder plugs. Other then that you should be find for a basic wet kit. For example I ran a 75 shot with 13 degree timing and ngk brk7e's.
Oh and you'll probably need a heavy duty clutch too.

*** u mean by retard the timing?...ill be running msd 6al ignition with the 2 step setup..also i have act 6puk clutch. rite now i have ngk platinum plugs. is that good so far?

i dont know if the model you got have this feature, but i know on some msd igniton systems you can advance and retard the timing right on the msd box

O.K. start by reading this first. After you read this you should be much better informed.... If you still want to run a progressive control let me know.. I may be able to help you.

Ditch the platinums for some copper plugs.

To be SAFE since you are new to nitrous I suggest to do a 50 shot at first just so you can figure out how it works and not destroy your motor. As for timing and plugs get 1 step colder plugs ngk's are good. The timing I dont know what it should be retarded to for sure but it definetly needs to be set back a bit. If you want to run a progressive controller I would enlist the help of someone that knows what they are doing. You can thow the car on a dyno and get a nice tune with the progressive nitrous.
so a wet 50 shot with colder plugs and the timing at 19* wouldnt be good?
its a 91 ser i/h/e 19*timing, nology wires, ngk iridium plugs, ground kit, blocking off egr today, clutch kit.
should have a fresh clutch, pulley kit, and a fidanza flywheel. before the nos is on. would any of this be a bad thing for a wet 50 shot?
taken from the link posted in this thread, "Wet nitrous kits have a fuel solenoid and nitrous solenoid that allows for fuel to be sprayed along with nitrous. The fuel mixing with the nitrous allows for the motor to avoid running lean due to lack of fuel and it helps to prevent detonation." so with that said, would putting the timing down to 13* be needed? i like my timing being at 19*and if 91 is needed to keep the sr from detonation, wouldnt that be the same deal with 13* timing and 87 or 89 octane? just trying to keep that little extra hp.

You can add a 50 shot wet to a stock car with no real problems.... The only thing that I don't recomend that you are planning on doing is have the timing advanced... to start. You really don't have to retard your timing from STOCK timing with a 50 shot but, I would start @ stock timing. If you want to try to advance your timing go 1 deg @ a time and monitor egt and detonation.... if you are not @ a dyno. Pull the plugs after each run and look @ them for signs of detination and color to make sure you are not going lean. I would suggest a dyno if this is your first time but, with a 50 shot unless you do something crazy you should be alright.

DO NOT keep your timing at 19* it WILL cause detonation. For a 50 shot stock timing is fine(15*) with 91 or higher octane. This is just common knowledge. You should do some reading about nitrous because you are really risking your motor.
