My brother snapped the stud off in my NX when he helped me install the header about 6 month ago. Tonight, we are going to try to drill it out and put in a new stud. To avoid having this happen agin, could anyone tell me what the torque specs are for the exhaust manifold? Also for anyone who has done this before, about how long did it take you and do you have any tips on how to do it?
Thanks

According to the FSM its 27-35 Ft-lbs.

yah, some advice for you... take your time and torque the bolts down at any low setting 1st (middle out). then go over them again (from middle out) at about 25lb ft and then do the final torque down (I did 35lb-ft). In a few days, retorque the bolts to factory settings. Hmmmmm, I still have not done the re-torque. I better get on it. Next time you break a bolt, go to AC hardware or similar and get some black "case hardened" studs/bolt as Nissan bolts tend to be pretty weak.

NOTE: If you can't find the case hardened studs, let me know (+ a few $s) and i'll send you some. celica_gt4@bellsouth.net
