i am undecided if i should get some halo headlights or just some clear headlights. which ones are better? i know the halo's look nice, but i dont want to have crappy lighting on the road.

The halos look decent in my opinion, since I used to have them on my black B14. The lighting is crappy when compared to the JDM Crystal Clears. But also when you compare the "decent" looking halos to the JDM Crystal Clears, the Crystal Clears make your car look a lot sharper and cleaner than the halos. Plus, the lighting is way better and putting a pair of HID's in the Crystal Clears would set it off. The JDM Crystal Clears are a little but pricier than the halos, but for the looks and then light output it gives you cannot complain at the end. Trust me. But good luck!

Here is the site that I bought my JDM Stealth Crystal Clears. He goes by Liu, and he is a really cool, down-to-earth type of guy. www.liuspeedtuning.com

Don't focus on the rims and stuff, just the headlights here. I know the rims make the car look better and all, but the overall look of the headlight.

Better lights as in the hyper white or blue bulbs? Usually they are higher wattage, which means with time they will get too hot for the bulb housing and it will melt. It happened to me, these are cheap headlights that look alright, and pretty decent.

Only way is to get HID's for the headlights. But I still don't think they look as good as the Crystal Clears.

Take a good look around, and take your time before you buy! Again, good luck!

Yeah, you can do that also. Fitting in projectors from other cars into the headlamps of the Halos to make them true projectors. I just think the style of our headlights don't look good with the projectors as good compared to the Crystal Clears. The Crystal Clears give the JDM look which I love. But the projector fitting into the halo headlamps is very different and doesn't look bad either. I just like the clears. Good luck at the end.

You would have to try the Crystal Clears to see for yourself the better lighting. But what you can also do with your halos is find projectors from another car to make it fit into your halos, so you can have true projector lights which I think make the halos look a lot better. A few people have done it already :biggthump

brightest for now.. till you run through about 5 bulbs sets or so *** they burn out fast.

yes it brighter than stock but the beam pattern is terrible. there are more light hitting up the air and such than really goes onto the ground.

ive had all the above... stock housing , halo , crystal headlights and now with my fitted projectors.

by far i have to say that the halos really dont put much light on the ground and using that tiny h1 bulb it doesnt do much justice.

the crystal are using the h4 bulb therefore more light output on the ground and the headlight reflector housing is designed more torwards OEM look and light output of the JDM Sunny , Lucino's etc.

now the big chunk of change is my current setup.. HID Projectors.

love everything about them cant ever get rid of them.
These are utilizing High Intesity Discharge Systems that utilize true Xenon gases to provide ultimate lighting. Kind of like a plasma TV that gas does wear out but it only after per say oh... 5000-hours or more of useage but by that time you can easily purchase new bulbs for about 70 bucks or less each and by that time it be well over 2-3 years or so.

best cosmetically yes but as far as functionality of the light output again poor.

these are all the things ive personally tested done and researched about for about 3 years or so and so im confident that my advice to you is at least do some kind of projector fitting in the halo to focus the beam and make it even for your safety and the safety of others.

The bulbs from the halos dont burn out ....if you install them without that damn harness that is. I upgrated my bulbs, mod'ed them to work without the harness, i love the light pattern, its better than the stock, and all i need. And i love how the look with your corners lieuspeed..:-D

I also installed my halos without the harness. Now when I turn on the high beams the low beams turn off and the the engine bay looks better without all the wires from the harness.
