hey everyone. ive searched the forums several times and cannot find anyone who has done what i am attempting to do. i bought a brand new long block gtir motor and will install it in my b13. the original sr20de block that was turbocharged blew and so we removed all the brackets, pulleys, pumps, etc. now i am trying to bolt these things back onto my gtir long block but it seems that there arent places to bolt the hardware on, ie the power steering pump bracket only has 2 holes vs 3 on the DE block and there is no place to bolt the passenger side axle cradle. new gtir block is a 54c and i believe the DE block was a 23J. is there a difference in the block? it seems that everyone else drops in an entire GTIR motor with everything already on it so they woudlnt have to transfer over the parts. anyone? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Blocks are different. You'll need the PS pump from a GTi-R, the passenger side axle bearing will only hold with two bolts instead of three, you'll need to shave some parts of the oilpan to make it fit over the crossmember.

Also, rear water pipe is different, you'll need to cut and fit it correctly. The little hose on the back is larger on the inlet size than the normal SR20.

i bolted up the power steering pump bracket on the GTIR motor and 2 of the 3 bolts fit. is there any way to get away with using the DE one?

You can use a ga16de ps pump.

That's odd, I thought there were lots of people who have put GTi-R's in their b13's. Is there a difference in generation. When you say Brand New Long block, do you mean from Nissan itself?

Come to think of it, I can't come up with anyone I know running a GTi-R block in a B13, but I know a couple of guys who have put gti-r heads on DE blocks...

In any case: Subscribed!

I'd say use the GTI-R brackets if you can and just bolt the usdm accessories to it. That way you don't have to worry about them rattling off because you didn't use all the bolt holes.

As for the axle bracket use the usdm one. Only 2 of the 3 bolts will line up but no one I know of has had a problem with doing that.

as far as the water pipe, is it the part that actually bolts onto the block? or is it just the hoses?

as far as the water pipe, is it the part that actually bolts onto the block? or is it just the hoses? The part that bolts onto the block (passanger side hose) has a larger inlet. You can fix this by just running the one off the US SR20.

and that will bolt straight onto the block?

Yes, from everything I've seen, it will bolt right up.

went to the junkyard and got a power steering pump off a sentra se with GA16

how did you guys get it to fit? none of the holes lined up from the bracket to the block and there is still no place to bolt the tensioner.

this is really confusing. on the other hand, the SR power steering pump bracket bolts up with 2 of the 3 bolts but still no place for the tensioner. help please!
