I thought it'd be a good idea to make a chart, and set it as a sticky that lists the upgrades people are running to spray a specific size shot. That way we can just point people here who ask "what do i need to run an XX shot on my de?"

1. All hp numbers are rated at the wheel
2. All upgrades for lower shots required. Pick the shot and work your way backwards up the list.

0-50: Spark Plugs 2 ranges colder, retard timing 2 degrees. Clutch will go pretty quick. Single fogger ok.

50-75: Fuel pump. Single fogger ok.

75-100: ??? Single fogger ok, direct port recommended.

100-125: ???

Anybody else?

Just to add to your post, Jon:

- 75-100 shot, single fogger is maxxed out. Direct port is preferred. Stock fuel pump is getting pretty darn close to maxxing out as well.
Wet/dry shot this size needs a purge kit.

- 100-125 shot: Progressive controller would be a good idea, on top of having a direct-port setup with purge, at this level. Either that or do a two-stage setup. Timing box (MSD, etc.) is almost mandatory here, too.
Don't expect your stock connecting rods to take this size shot on a regular basis.

Any others I forgot?

100-125 shot.....yes, I'm considering this.....maybe forged pistons, 550cc injectors, Walbro Fuel Pump, heard our fuel lines are pretty shanty, Aeromotive FPR, retarded timing of course, and a colder plug. Sound somewhat good? That's what I'm looking at right now, I'm thinking of putting the turbo on hiatus for now, cause nitrous is tempting. It's sort of like this.....hmmm....I can run a mid 13 with a 50 shot (my car)....hmmmm....I can run a low 13 with a 75 shot......hmmmm.....maybe a high 12 with a 100 shot and drag radials....hmmm.... The stock SR20 rods are pretty beefy too, I think they can handle it. But just incase, maybe Carillo will be getting a call.....or maybe it's all just a bunch of crazy talk....haha.

Oh yeah, can people post their times with different shot levels and all? Thanks.

Doesn't the fuel pressure regulator effect the FPR. I thought the SR was resistant to standard FPR fuel increase atempts thereby limiting the extra fuel from a bigger pump?
Just curious.:)

There is nothing stopping more fuel come in the rail, the FPR sits on the return side....and who cares when you revamp the whole fuel system? ;)
