I got it going again, Thanks a lot guys. It was the VC gasket and also the screw on the rotor backed itself out and the rotor turned freely on the camshaft. thanks again guys now I just need to get these tuning issues sorted. I've got a slight stumble on tip in, but otherwise its way nice having a 10:1 motor. thanks to all who helped.

Now get your arse up to Ben's this weekend:D Did you ever get that TO bearing ordered and sent?
Wow! A bad VC gasket and the distributor rotor screw coming off. THOSE are new reasons for a car not running for me  !!!!!
Glad you got them figured out. It would have taken me a while to figure those out. :)

At the SoCal-SERCA track event this February Dave Allen had the set screw back out of his disty rotor and did a quick trackside repair to get going again.
I remember he kept borrowing our tools. :D

Owe my gosh I actually helped someone out:D :D
From what you was explaining on the other post , the popping, spitting spuddering, etc. It just sounded too much like the problem I had with mine that day.
Glad it is going
