it is easy. but the hardest part is getting to the belt tensioner on the power steering pump. Use a 10mm wrench to loosen the four pulley bolts and off it comes.

It sounds easy and looks easy to do. Yesterday, my friend and I tried it but couldnt. We tried loosening the bolts but the pulley *** kept rotating. I also need to replace the belt which I have with me. It's time

put the car in 5th gear and if that doesn't work, have you friend step on the brakes as well.

Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, you are gonna have to remove the alt/ A/C belt as well. The water pump/ P.S. pump belt is behind that one and there is no way to slide it off without removing the first one.

I did my install with it out of the car, but you see what I'm talking about. First break loose the water pump bolts while there is still tension on them. and then loosen and remove the alternator/Air conditioning belt first. then loosen and remove the other belt. Continue to remove the pulley and install the new one getting it snug. install the water pump/ power steering belt first followed by the alt/ air con belt second. tighten down the belts and then get the water pump bolts tight.

I think this is how it needs to be done. I hope someone else will chime in to make sure I'm correct. We can talk if you are going to the meet this saturday.

ahhhh i make an error....the wedge thing was for something else.... u gotta get the pulley bolt on the bottom and have your friend losen the bolts on the water pump pulley...just break the virgin bolts and u good to go(at htis bolt no need for the bottom pulley to be held)

Thanks for pic. It gives me a clearer view on how it looks like when I work around it. Also thanks on the instrustions. But i'm still confused though. How will the alternator belt get loose from the alternator and crank pulley?

I gotta hold on the crank pulley bolt with a tool so it wont move right? and loosen the wp pulley bolts and continue with the process.

You loosen teh alternator belt by teh alternator adjustment screws(both top and bottom)

Edit: I have to convince the lady friend though :)
