I"M IN LOVE!!...I love my nx soo much its soo fun to drive:biggthump Its so responsive. I even decided to part out my civic lol. With the money I get from my hatch I decided to get some goodies.Currently it has eibach springs with GR2 struts, WAI, muffler shop crappy straight pipe exhuast with vibrant power1 muffler. So what I think I want is a new header ,cat ,and catback, some cams, and some new springs. Money permitting i want to get new shocks too like some AGXs or somthing.Getting some 15 inch rota ciruit 8s hopefully wensday. I also need to locate a new front lip, both doors, t-top panels and bags. But just wanted to say how I cannot beleive what I've been missing all these years driving 1.6 sentras and sohc civics and such lol.

POWER TO THE NX2000!!!

But I'm trying to decide on S3s or S4s and if I should get a JWT ecu for the cams, leave it stock, or something like calums ecu. Suggestions and comments are welcome. Now off to search like crazy about the cams :D

Dont bother with n/a stuff (with the exception of a VE) Save your money and go turbo!

And get a springs and retainer kit plus BC stage 2 cams

Fatman is an NX man now!
now you know why we love em.

Nah no turbo for the NX2000 its my daily...my non sr20 b13 sentra is getting turbo goodness. I just wanna lose a little lower end torque and gain some high end power and my exhaust needs replacing anyway. I'm gathering from my reasearching that MAYBE i should get a Calum ECU and S4s. But new suspension and exhuast is a must. My current exhuast is horrible. Stock exhaust manifold with the flange cut off the downpipe and 2.5 inch piping welded to it nothing but 2.5 piping into an N1 style muffler. Its loud raspy and garbage lol. And YES I HEART T-TOPS WITH TORQUE

Uggh searching isnt cool sometimes lol. info keeps contridicting each other I cant decide between S3s or S4s. Some say the s4s suck for daily driving some say they are fine. Then some say they stall, My rpms already drop to about 4-500 when I push in the clutch. It used to stall but I got that worked out.So im unsure wich route I need to go. I'm also unsure if I need the Calum ECU as i wont be tuning it just need a programed ecu for WAI,Header,2.5 Catback, and of course the cams. other than that i might get a FPR and a new clutch and lightweight flywheel. Maybe when this de goes I might get some pullies but other than that I dont see me needing a realtime ECU.So I may just get a JWT ecu with the cam and bolt on program for 93 octane.Thoughs? Opinions? I just want a fun daily driver that doesnt fall on its face after around 6-6500 but dont want a daily that cant handle stop and go traffic either.I know its alot to ask but with so many cam choices i dont think its too much to ask :D

you need to raise your idle if it drops that low when teh clutch is pressed.

get the s4's man they are the perfect cam for the sr20.

also bump your timming up to 17 degree's and run 93oct.

You need to realize that some people don't know what the hell they're talking about. S4's do not cause your car to stall, that's a complete crock. If your car already has problems (like yours does with a 500rpm idle), then you need to fix it before throwing cams on it.

S4's are FINE for daily driving. So you loose a little torque down low, no big deal. The gains in the midrange and upper end are worth it. Hell, throw a lightweight flywheel on, and you'll get the bottom end back if you want.

The JWT POP program would be good for you, and I think Calum may have a good NA program as well.

Damn, nice tag team Stratton.

By the way, 19* on a stock ecu and 93 octane is fine.

I have been told with S4 cams to leave the timing at 15* for best all around power

I haven't heard that before. Rule of thumb that I've always known is 19* for a stock ecu, and 15* for a JWT.

i have been told 19* for stock ecu, 17* for just cams/stock ecu, and 15* for jwt ecu

Of course I know that the few small problems i have now will need to be taken care of. and loss of a little low end is perfect thats what im wanting. I also always run 93 octane. I know bumping the timing up and such. But as far as the loss of low end im used to driving a 105ish whp and 90ish wtq civic and I keep barking the tires taking off so im perfectly fine with a little low end loss. Its for sure sounding like s4s is what im looking for. But as far as the diving idle goes whats the idle supposed to be at? Mine is right at about 650ish it seems to me it should be higher.I cleaned the egr tube that goes from 4th primary to the intake manifold and reground my MAF and added a second 4ga ground to my battery. which it hasnt stalled 1 time since I did that and it used to stall every time. So im deff going in the right direction :D

Now you can see why I looked for a year to locate a 93 nx 2000 in good condiction.
I have an extra set of bags for the t-tops, picked them up for $20, you can have them for the same, plus shipping. Figure them at 5 lbs max, from 80134. PM me if you are intrested.
Good luck!:biggthump

yes im interested my zip is 27107 and you probably paid ALOT more than i did for my NX2k which was $500 with a spare engine harness ,jdm sr20de,ecu,clutch, and a few other peices from the stock motor that was replaced. SO i really cant complain for a few mishaps and besides its just a daily driver :D

Awsome...I took the nx for a little ride today and the rpms only dropped to about 8-900ish rpms when i pushed the clutch in. So thats taken care of. Can't wait to pick up my rotas in a little bit :D So yea no more idle problem. I think thats about it besides prefrance stuff. Man I love this car.My idle speed is around 800rpms now so I guess the ecu was still relearning everything. Next step is better exhuast.

dont listen to the people telling you to swap the motor right away. Learn about the DE first and then move from there. I/H/E which I have for you by the way (I sent you a pm) a fidanza, clutch and some cams will give you a car that will keep up with even high dollar turbo cars.

Also if your going to do suspension DONT go with AGX's and springs/coil overs...they are a great combo. But there are better combos out there for only like $100 more dollars.Dont get me wrong the AGX's are good. But there are better setups out there that handle bumps better.
