: WTT: Intercooler
Cliff 08-15-2007, 11:05 PM I have a NIB 28x12x3 bar and plate intercooler, with 3" inlets.
It's too big for what my setup is, so I need to go smaller. I have not yet even tried to install it. I'm looking for a smaller intercooler, specifically a 28x6x3 with 2.5" inlets.

Yes. WTT means want to trade :biggthump
It's a bar and plate, and was bought from another member on the forums a while back. Just to make this clear, I'm looking for one in like condition, newsed, or new. Similar design, meaning bar and plate. Basically would like the same setup, only a bit smaller.
XxToKeSxX 08-16-2007, 12:13 AM I believe eric96ser has a smaller IC thats brand new... I was just talking to him about it...
Cliff 08-16-2007, 12:28 AM Wonder if he would want to trade :D
MarcTheNarc 08-16-2007, 12:04 PM I have a JRC 5" IC that I used for about a year. Still in good shape. I know its a bit smaller than what you're looking for, just thought I'd throw it out there. I think he said it maxes out at ~290 HP.
sr20venosfreak 08-16-2007, 03:51 PM The intercooler core size I have is 24X6X3.The inlet on the left is 2" and the one on the right is 2.5".It's on my B14 and it came with a Turbonetic's turbo kit.So I think is a spearco and is in excelent working condition.PM me if the core size is ok for you.I will post a pic tomarrow.
Cliff 08-16-2007, 04:46 PM PM Sent nosfreak. Post some pics and we'll go from there.
Marc - Thanks bud, sounds good, but may be a bit smaller than what I'm looking for.
MarcTheNarc 08-16-2007, 04:57 PM Not a problem, good luck to you!
Cliff 08-17-2007, 08:50 AM bizzump...
sr20venosfreak 08-17-2007, 12:30 PM Here are the pic's.The exact size is 24.5X6.5X3.5.I called spearco and they told me is good up to 400 hp.I've seen 380whp been made with the exact same intercooler as mine. The only bad thing is I don't know if you will like how the inlets are positioned. How much your intercooler is rated at?'m going to be boosting 30lb with a GT35R.

XxToKeSxX 08-17-2007, 01:48 PM Tekkie,
I just realized I'm using the SAME exact intercooler you are showing there. Is it AROSPEED? It's a bit big, but it does fairly well with a t25. It does a damn good job cooling... even after gettin nasty on the highway, or driving to work every other day in the summer heat... I feel the hot side pipes and they blaze... The cool side is ALWAYS cool to the touch...
I was in a bind at the time and only had piping for a b14, and that size intercooler. I was paranoid because I thought spool up would be hindered, and I thought it would be too big... but compared to the TMIC (short piping, small diam, efficient) I previously had on there I really felt no difference in when boost was built.
Just thought I would share... Good luck with whatever you choose to do!
Cliff 08-18-2007, 12:37 AM Damnit meeners! Why you gotta put info like that into my head! Well, it is an Arospeed, after looking it up, and now that you mention it, I may require more fab, but I guess I'm going to go with it.
Thanks again nosfreak, I guess I'm going to try my luck. I'm an indecisive little bitch. :eek2: That and the inlets on your spearco are aimed down a little too much. ;)
Thanks again!
