Dude, there's no one way to do a wire tuck. It takes knowing what goes where in the harness, what you can eliminate, running fresh wire, etc.

Very time consuming to say the least, and possibly problematic in the future, should you ever have to wire trace due to faults.

As an aside, it's sexy, but I wouldn't do it unless it was a show car ;)

with something as potentially difficult as a wire tuck, i would take my car to a reputable shop and have them do it. when it comes to wiring, i wouldnt take any chances, but it looks like you already have an idea of what you are doing, looking better!

I don't think even 2% of this forum takes their SE-R to a shop.

That being said, i think a wire tuck would not be difficult at all. Time consuming, yes.

i've been waiting to learn how to do a wire tuck also. do u have to extend wires and such in order to hide them?

A friend of mine is doing a full wire-tuck on his eg hatch he is converting to right-hand-drive. He was looking around my bay and told me allot of the larger wire bundles could simply be tucked behind the fenders, given we have pretty ample space back there. He was telling me it wouldn't be that hard. He is doing it himself so he has been talking to allot of experts about the tucking. It would be great to see this done on a B13.

just a suggestion...if you are going to take all that time to tuck wires just for cosmetic effect, shave all the un used holes in the engine bay as well. most of those who have done a tuck seem to over look the small details such as that.

I did a tuck on my Celica a while ago, and recently did a bit of a tuck (http://www.cisforcoomer.com/hosted/cars/delsol/mild_wire_tuck/finished/front_driver_side.jpg) on my Del Sol.

This thread (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1693934) on Honda-Tech is invaluable. Over 380 pages and a ton of good information. Also, my thread (http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=44927) on my site may be of help. It walks through the process from start to finish with pics and info. :)

haha you think that's bad?? kojima has me simplifying every single harness in my b13.

every single connector not used is taken out of the harness. followed all the way up to the SMJ and then depinned.

any updates chaps? pics, mild how to's?

*sticks foot in mouth for not reading new posts before posting himself*

however, at the moment im looking for just a few simple pics on how some of you just moved the fuse boxes into the fenderwell without moddifing the harness. i want few simple pics and tips before i go out and start tugging on a 13 year old wire harness.
