ok i ordered a filer adapter from ebay the other day for my 200sx. Its just the cone filter, a small adapter, and a clamp.

It finally came in....... I took the oem air box off, and began to install the filter.............. but there is a wire that goes into the stock box, and the bolts do not fit the new clamp? What the hell??????

Where does the wire go? can i do without it ????

Is it actually a wire or a hose?

the maf adapter they send doesnt fit the holes on the maf. you'll have to drill some new ones.
the wire you have hanging sounds like the temperature sensor. can he do without it ?

If it is the temp sensor, all you have to do is just zip tie it to something in the engine bay, it doesn't have to be in the filter.

ok well i was sitting around reading what people have written about this and came up with this........

I had to use some new bolts so the adapter could fit........ and for the temp sensor wire....... I fit it carefully between the rubber head on the filter and the adapter, and then used the clamp to secure it .


Its 12:45 in the morning and i just took a test drive....... It sounds very bad ass, and very loud, PLus the security guard has been driving by my house back and forth.
