: A "Q" about Classic gauge clusters

Okay gang as some of you know I messed up my stock gauge cluster. The car does not have ABS, so their is no idiot light on the cluster for it.

The cluster I am buying came out of a 91 that did have ABS.
I'm not worried about the look of the light, I have a fix for that.

What I really need to know is... are all the connectors on the back of the cluster the same in size & everything as the ones on my car? If not does the "Antilock" light have its seperate plug? Or is it added onto one of mine? (making it larger and different)

Please chime in everybody that can help, and thank you.

FSM shows them as the same. The only difference should be a pin or wire missing from the harness, but it may be there anyway. Remember that ABS was a dealer bolt on option if your car was not already equiped. I should know, I told the dealer to kiss my arse when they asked if I wanted ABS added. The only difference to watch for in analog gauges for your year is a no tach vs a unit with a tach. Otherwise your in the clear.

No it wasn't. Your dealer is a monkey.

There's no such thing as a non-tach SE-R cluster.

As for the ABS lens, you can get the lenses from the dealer if you find a counterman who is patient enough to help you find it.

Thanks guys for your help. Sounds like smooth sailing if the gauges work.
