Dear sr20forum,
I have recently bought a Nissan Primera with SR20DE.
When rotating the throttle drum, it initially sticks and then moves freely (very annoying when accelerating from the lights!). On the outside it looks well greased. This "sticking" only happens when the engine is running, when turned off the throttle drum rotates very smoothly.
I am hoping that this is just a lubrication rather than mechanical issue. Is so, should I disconnect the air intake from the body and spray in some WD40?
I have noticed also that the throttle cable looks little slack - maybe an extra 5mm - would tightening this help the problem?
Cheers,
James
