I just bought an OBX shifter from Urban Imports. I believe I the one I bought is for 95+ models and my car is a 91. My fault for not reading carefully. Anywayz.....I did install the shifter. The part where the shifter connects to the control arm doesnt seem to fit very well (maybe cause I got the wrong one?!?!). I still got it to fit.

Question is - Is there a difference in design for different model year SE-Rs?????

Im gonna end up buying a longer bolt and some washers to see if I can make it fit better. (The bolt that comes with the OBX seems like it is too short and I had to use some vice grips to squeeze the 2 sides of the control arm together to make it fit). Im also gonna cut the shifter a little bit. It's freaking long compared to my stock hacksawed shifter. Im also gonna buy the ES bushing. Do you guys have any other ideas on making the shifter fit better on my car?

All the shifters for the SR20 cars are the same, and IIRC the Maxima used the same shifter as well for a while.

its probably a poor fitament problem. thats what u risk when u buy generic stuff
