Ok so i have a 91 SE-R here are the specs and mods :

>205,000 original miles on original motor good compression when i checked 13,000 miles ago
>original injectors <<<<<<<<<<<<<what i think the prolbem is:confused:
>new fuel filter, plugs cap rotter and wires 10,000 miles ago
>new o2 sensor
>home brewed CAI > cleaned and re-grounded maf
>header,
>test pipe (I NEED A CAT I KNOW), <<<<<<< could be this??:confused:
>HKS / magna-flow cat back
>93 octane w/ 19* timing advanced (done by at IPS motor sports)
>EGR deleted
>poily motor mounts
> motor re-grounded

it runs rich under normal circumstances, and WOT you can see the exhaust in the rear-view mirror in other headlights, it also back fires ever shift from 1>2 2>3

Idle is rough it just vibrates badly when it drops below 1,000 RPM, abouve its smooth, the car pulls hard, and runs well, its just rich....

Any Specific imput would be appreciated, i have done searches, but i need a more application specific advice

grayish???, im not sure, you can smell how rich its burning, im not judging jsut by color....

i have no clue, i don't have tester, nor do i know how to find out, when i got the car, the ground had corroded off at the plug so i sodded the nub of a wire back together, ill look into that ***, i may need a new one .

all you need is a two dollar volt-meter from harbor freight or walmart or something... its real easy.

make a stethoscope out of a long screw driver. start car, put blade on the injector housing, put ear to handle. you should here ticking. rev motor, should get faster. listen to each injector. All 4 should sound similar and rpm dependant... dont be stupid either, make sure nothing is hanging off you to get caught in belts or fans. Turn car off, let sit for 30min to an hour till motor cools down. Pull plugs, see if they are wet, take flash light and look in cylinder, shouldnt see anything wet. If you do then its leaky injector. You need to make sure your volts are right for the TPS. Check maf voltages as well. Back probe O2 sensor make sure its working right. and without a cat you are likely to see more smoke and blackness.
