I tried to buy the pacesetter short shift for 98 sentra se $50 at NOPI.com but they said that because it was on backorder for 3 months I could not order it. I couldn't even be put on a list. Hmmm, sounds fishy to me but any idea where to get one that is around the same price? I saw some for $112 on other sites but that's too much. Thanks for the help.

At least they told you that it was on backorder. I had to wait a month for them to finally tell me. They were prompt in returning the funds to my account however when I cancelled the order. They also told me that I could be put on a list, but they had no idea of how long it would be.

Try calling JCWhitney. It's not listed on the Website, but that's where mine came from for $70.

I know it's twice as much, but I ordered the B&M short shifter for $139 on NOPI.

Go to your local auto parts store. If there is one that leans a little more to imports go there.
Ask about getting the Pace Setter SS, Tell them what you can get it for @ Nopi and I bet you they will match the price.

Thats what I did and it worked.......and it only toook like 3 days to get it in.

ya NOPI waited a month when i paid for 2nd day shipping to tell me they were out of the rotors i ordered... i called continuously what kinda shotty operation they got running over there!:mad:

yeah, i have ordered a pacesetter short shifter over a month ago. I was sent an email a week later stating that the part was on backorder and i could wait a little longer or i could get a refund. I decided to hold out. Two weeks ago i sent Nopi an email trying to find out the status of my order. They said "it should be shipped out sometime this week." Well that was over 2 weeks ago. I am getting pretty pissed.

my buddy jim just ordered two of them from JCWhitney last Tuesday. We got them on Friday.

i went to jcwhitneys website and it said the had a pacesetter short shifter for a 86-90 sentra, but nothing higher.

I retract my previous statement. The shifters that JCwhitney sent us are not the right ones. It turns out its for a Stanza. These were ordered over the phone I believe.

When Jim called them back, they said they do not stock shifters for our cars.

This is the second time I've been dicked by JCWhitney. aka JC Crapney. Oy.
